Visited in late fall to a dusting of snow on the trees. Beautiful! I loved going in the Timberline Lodge and being overwhelmed with the magnificance of the place. They just don't make them like that any more.

It can be tricky seeing peak between the clouds. Absolutely gorgeous and indescribable. Definitely a must see. We caught some nice photos from Trillium Lake, too

If you are tired of I5 traffic jams and are travelling from Hood River to Salem or Eugene try this route over Government Camp on the mt. Hood highway. Less stress and more beauty.

It took only one hour and a half drive from Vancouver, WA to beautiful Mt Hood. Evergreen trees, clean and cool air were refreshing. Adult could ride on the lift to view 180 degrees of mountain vista. Some people were riding mountain bikes and snow...More

The roads definitely have some twists & turns but I wouldn't consider them to be horrible. Driving the speed limit helps & definitely no reading or watching your phone, ipad or tv from the backseat. Of course, I'm used to... More

There is a ski resort lodge at the top area where parts of The Shining movie were filmed. Very historic, interesting place. Visited it last summer when we stayed in Hood River
