I think every tour bus and visitor to Aruba happened to be there at the same time we were. They charge you to actually go up into the lighthouse. When we talked to others then went up they said there's actually caging that goes all...More

Worth the trip, you can see inland and the surrounding waters, the view is extraordinary. If you didn't see the water you would think you were in Arizona or someplace like the desert.

We paid the $5 US to climb to the top and go outside. The views were impressive on the day we went--a few clouds but pretty clear. Most impressive was the wind though. It was a bit of a climb and on a hot day,...More

A lot of people showed up without money. While the lighthouse is free to visit, you cannot go inside and climb to the top for free. I think it was about $15 for my son (9) and I to go up to the top. A...More

The views at the California Lighthouse were amazing. Looking out from the northwest corner of Aruba and seeing the rocky coast and waves crashing over it let’s you know that the Caribbean is more than tranquil seas.

This is, I believe, the only lighthouse in Aruba. It is a nice lighthouse. Some good views. There is an Italian restaurant there. You would need a car or taxi to eat there.

The views from the top of the lighthouse are amazing. It's $5 to go up and there are 117 narrow steps to climb, but it's definitely worth it.

Visited here in March 2019. There was a $5 charge to climb the steps (lots of them!). It's very narrow and steep, so take your time, but the views from the top are really amazing. It is very windy at the top, as well, but...More

Hi Mike, You do not have to really book in advance. You can actually go inside for a small $10 fee. Tickets are available at the lobby of the Faro Blanco Restaurant right next to the lighthouse. Hope to see you again soon!
