We booked a Marriott experiences tour which turned out to be with Margaret and Chicago elevated.com. She was an excellent tour guide. The tour was entertaining and informative. As a former Chicago resident, I was interested in finding out what was familiar and what was...More

Due to heavy rains during our trip, we took the pedway to keep out of the weather. The pedway is a little bit confusing as to the directions one should take. The route markers are also very small compared to the giant spaces of entrance...More

Chicago elevated.com is a Pedway Tour with Margaret, a award-winning Chicago tour guide. She was very eclectic and extremely enjoyable. We walked through the underground tunnels connecting many buildings under Chicago. We did not travel throughout the entire Pedway as it is too long. She...More

The Pedway is cleaner, brighter, safer, and more comfortable than I would have imagined in some places.

A maze of underground tunnels and retail shops that many locals know nothing about. Our guide Margaret doubles as an improv comedienne and makes the tour super enjoyable with her knowledge and wit. There are many cool places connecting 67 Chicago buildings, including the Marshall...More

There are some buildings in Chicago connected via underground/ under street pedways/ pedestrians walkways. However most of these pad-ways are ugly and they look like no one cares about them. Another thing is homeless people find their “homes” here and it doesn’t add any glamor...More

Loved the Pedway there are so many beautiful stained glass windows you wont know where to look. We went from the pedway to the Chicago Library which is in itself stunning. From the ceilings to the walls

This is my 6th or 7th time in Chicago and I never knew the Pedway existed. It’s a bustling underground pedestrian world that keeps you out of the elements. You can go from Millennium Park to Macy’s in minutes.

This is the alternate way to go around the loop. I started my visit in Macy;s and just strolled along the corridors. Nice display of victorian stained glass windows in one of the corridors. Plenty of shops beneath street level.

There are no escalators on the pedway itself, but you can get to the Pedway on an escalator through Macy's or the State Street subway entrance.
