Got to love the architecture and history. Look around at some of the cabinets for pics of whose stayed there. Great place to view.

I’m actually currently at this hotel. While the lobby area is beautiful and the location is excellent, I’m afraid those are the only positives. As I’m sitting here in my hotel room, I can hear everything - and I mean everything - from both of...More

My first visit to Chicago, and loving historic architecture, I was anticipating a wonderful experience at the beautiful Palmer House, and happily, I was not disappointed! One of the prettiest lobbies I have EVER seen, Amazing to think the artist that restored the Sistine Chapel...More

Beautiful hotel, right near everything in downtown Chicago, close to Wrigley field. My wife and I were very happy with our stay. Definitely will be coming back

We stayed on property, but this lobby is worth the visit anyway. Outside are museum quality Tiffany designed peacock doors, and with a painted ceiling reminiscent of European castles, this offers a brief respite, magnificent view, and food/drink options if desired. A must see to...More

I stepped into this lobby not knowing anything about its existence. I looked up and thought Grand Central in New York. Breathtakingly beautiful. Classy appointments and well maintained. One of the finest places showing grand opulence.

Concierge level was nice. Walking distance to Art Institute and Millennium Park. Big room. The breakfast could have had more variety. Scrambled eggs and either pancakes or Belgian waffles during our 6 night stay.

Stopped here on the Ghost and Goblins tour. What a site. Reminded me of a luxury cruise ship from the old days or a Great Gatsby mansion. Stopped in and had a drink. A place woth visiting and just sitting down to have a drink...More

We were gifted a trip to Chicago by some friends. They booked us into the historic Palmer House for 4 nights. We were supposed to have a King bedroom suite with adjoining room. When we checked in, (at 5:30 PM) the room they actually put...More

For sure CIBC Theater where Hamilton is playing & The Chicago Theater. May be others but those were the 2 I saw. I was there to see Hamilton. An easy ride on the El takes you to Comedy Sportz which is kinda fun!
