This out and back trail is a good hike. Most of it is sandy paths with some imbedded rocks. Not a 5 in my book because a lot of the walk out doesn't have scenery, really. And the last 1/2 mile is pretty tricky on...More

You can not go wrong anywhere you go outside of Sedona. All of the area surrounding the city is lovely. I actually followed the pink jeeps into the off road areas in my 4x4 truck. I found the view breath taking. I want to go...More

First time to hike this trail. Lots of rocks...boots or good hiking shoes are a must. Gets narrow at the top. This trail didn't lead to the best view in Sedona. The trail mostly follows a dry creek bed. The hardest part is knowing you...More

This trailhead is relatively small and has limited vehicle parking. There is NO street parking outside the parking lot. It is a popular hike, and the parking lot fills up quickly. Enchantment Resort guests have walking access from the resort. The trailhead does require a...More

This was the first place to check out the vortex on our list. Hike was easy and views were impressive.

After you are past the resort that borders the trail to the east, the walk is through canyon forest. A moderate hike except a rock scramble at trails end. A good spot for a snack before returning to the Trail Head. Not many vistas since...More

Bell Rock is our favorite Vortex location, but it does require hefty uphill hiking. Boynton Canyon, however, comes in a close second as a vortex experience and doesn't require exhaustive hiking, just a beautiful, relaxing walk Pay attention to where you are though. It's easy...More

Overall good hike! We hiked the three miles in and back in around 3 hours. The hike starts out in the sun but then as you get deeper you get a lot of shade. There were not a lot of people on the trail so...More

My husband and I hiked Boynton Canyon - 6 miles round trip from parking lot, approximately 2.5-3 hours depending on how long you stay at the top. The hike does take you behind Enchantment Resort and some beautiful homes but that didn’t bother us as...More

This was our first hike while visiting Sedona and it was my favorte. Being new to the area and hiking the trails, we missed the turn for the trail that takes you to the vortex. We were fine with it as we continued along the...More

If you go there during a national holiday, there is no fee to park. The same is true for any national park. However, the airport mesa parking fee will still be $3.00 no matter what day you go.
