We took a day trip there by taxi from San Jose with two other couples. The water was so warm it was like a hot tub and the bay was realativley calm. Even our non swimmer in the group was grinning while in the water....More

One of the absolute best beaches I've ever visited. We were there in September, which is low season. We were very happy about that, as the amount of tourist undoubtly can be high and a nuisance (we expect)

We have visited twice, the beach is the largiest in the area, No people at all as we believe September is no busy like the high season. Weather always good in the morning, afternoon raining. Good beach.

This was the first place I visited when coming to Costa Rica, and the last place I'll ever forget. Life changing views and incredible wildlife. This is a must-see destination for anyone visiting Costa Rica.

Great way to see sloths and monkeys - plus many other animals and fauna. Be sure to get a tour guide as you miss many things and it is well worth the money.

This beach is within the National Park. Nice sandy beach with wildlife all around. Iguanas on the beach and sloths in trees immediately behind it. Seems to be a safe beach to swim and popular with locals. Changing rooms and toilets and a cafe nearby.

It is not difficult to get from any of the hotels to the beach on the bus or even walking. The nicer hotels are not right next to the beach. They are up the hill. We stayed at the Hotel Costa Verde which was wonderful... More
