This huge bat colony really is pretty cool, but the evening we went to go see them they apparently had decided to sleep in. It was nearly pitch dark by the time they finally emerged and while you could see some movement, you really couldn’t...More

Come at sundown. I recommend to stand at the observation area on the south side under the bridge. The bats come out all together and fly in waves for about 45 min. We also saw it from the bridge but it was better from under...More

Saw the bats a little after sunset. Really amazing experience! Went to the park at the bottom of the bridge. The stench is strong from the urine and feces.

The bats decided not to come out after sunset tonight but it was still a nice experience for several hundred people that waited together. The sunset was beautiful and the vibe was friendly and chill.

Great place to take a walk. Loved walking across and under the bridge. Lots of bikers and walkers/runners. Definitely check it out. Unfortunately the bats never came out the night we attempted to see them.

People show up in droves to see the bats fly at dusk in August and September. It’s been so hot lately that the bats were around the first weekend of October. We were on a boat under Congress bridge when we saw them fly off....More

So much fun. This is so cool. Only see stuff like this in Austin. The bats came out later than we expected but worth the wait.
