I loved Barranco. It's got really nice restaurants, great views of the oceans, nice museums and some pretty nice artwork. The area around the bridge of sighs with all the street art is a really great place to spend an afternoon exploring the streets.

Did a free walking tour of Barranco and a food tasting tour as well. This place has the top 12 Restaurant in South America (Isolina), it's a must try but book in advance. Barranco is a very interesting and artsy place.

We prefer Barranco over Mira Flores. Lots of art and local clothing shops. We walked with family after dark and it seemed to be safe at night but only were out and about until 9:30pm. There are many restaurant choices and even a nice supermarket.

We would have liked to have spent more than an hour here exploring the restaurants, cafes, and galleries. It's a lively bohemian neighborhood that has been fairly gentrified at this point.

Barranco with its old traditional houses, its bohemiam atmosphere and relaxed attitude is great for visitors. We went to the Mirador where you have a great view of the ocean front, walked along the Puente de los Suspiros and around its square and Av Pedro...More

It’s a place you MUST visit. You should walk alongside the sea to the Puente de los Suspiros. Go to the library. Try to eat at a small place La Posada del Mirador with the sea view to the yacht club. Walk through the small...More

Seems like you have plenty of input already. Checking them all I will stuck with the advice of HOLDcrypt as a walk from Miraflores to Barranco, and perhaps take a cab back to your hotel. That will work for a short stay if... More

Peruvian food in general has animal products, so unless you cook it yourself, very hard to find vegan food in Barranco. In other places in Lima you might. But because our food is incredible and world wide known, you might... More
