The mirador at this this ancient site gives you, probably, the best indication of the dominance of the Misti volcano over Arequipa. A great photo-opportunity in this old part of the city; but there is little else there.
We came here for sunset and the view we got on the orange coloured Misti was simply amazing. I would definitely recommend you to come here. Even if you are not there for the sunset, I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy the view!

Yanahuara us one if the traditional neighborhoods from Arequipa & has a wonderful view of the Misti volcano, the arches are surrounded by bougainvilleas a flower that combines so well with the white volcanic sillar. The church is also so beautiful and worth visiting.
Real plaza and mall plaza, walk down ejercito and see it all it has tamales and all sorts of other foods nice sites and the bridge has great photos, the parks nice but sometimes it has biting flies, mirador is nice, a lot of food...More

Yanahuara is a nice part of town of Arequipa.
You have a wonderful view over the city and its volcanos.
At this time there is a competition in crafting. White local volcanic stone carving, wood, leather, metal crafts.
It has a great viewpoint set in a lovely area of town, a fair walk up the hill form the main square but well worth it, try to get there at lunch time and stop in one of the lovely local restaurants offering meal of...More
Brought here on a tour. There is nothing special about the place. Seemed to be a place to take pictures but we thought there were other places just as good. Only thing in it's favour was that being away from the old part of Arequippa...More
