Castle itself is in the state of disrepair, only few chambers remain in fairly decent condition, apart from main walls. Very limited description is available for visitors. Best thing about this castle is it’s location on top of a high hill with view to beat.

We came here to see the castle as everyone was so much excited about it, but we did not find it so amazing. Yes, it is big, but if u have seen other castles, it does not have any thing to add. Lastly, if coming...More

It’s a beautiful castle with an amazing view. We spent there about 2,5 hours. If you are riding Kings Highway you should visit this place.

Wish we had followed the advice on one of my fellow TAs here and gone into the museum first....we went there at the end! Definitely worth a stop wandering around looking @ the ruins and the great views, but much better, if you know what...More

Wow what a place. Poached on top of a small mountain, difficult to enter by any aggressor. Easy to get lost in the many tunnels, rooms and secret stairways. The lighting was placed with great thought to bring mystical thoughts to the brain. A must...More

Here is an insider tip. Do not go straight into the Castle as we did because a guy beckoned us over to the entrance in order to get us to take a private tour with him. Instead turn left once you have gone through security...More

A massive castle with a long history. Spectacular intact passages even if many of the towers are badly damaged Well worth seeing

Large fortress with powerful walls, numerous chambers and corridors, built on a high hill in the middle of the desert, with great view on the surrounding area. Take some time and check the hidden corners of the fortress, there are many interesting hidden corners and...More

The Kerak Castle of crusaders is more of a huge maze, which nowadays looks nice from the outside but from the inside as a warren. Unfortunately, any information is lacking about its areas, walls, halls, tunnels, gates and bridges. Apparently, there is a great exposition...More

Kerak and Jerash are in opposite directions from Amman. Kerak is south & Jerash is north. Personally, I would NOT try to see both in the same day, especially if you want to spend time at each site. In my opinon, it would... More
