Gorgeous first view of Jerusalem for us. It was busy but not so busy that you couldn't get your photos. The significance of the site is just as special.

Do not go out of your way to visit. The mount affords a very nice view of the city. The Biblical significance is the attraction. Nothing else to see,

Did get to spend some time here as the guide couldn't keep track of all of us as it was so busy. Went to the Garden and also the Church of Nations.

Even if hundreds of people climb the hill through the narrow street from Getsemane to Olive Mountain, there is everytime a crazy taxidriver who needs to get the same way instead of driving another route (where regular traffic is active). That is really a pain...More

You will love the views here, many places to take it all in. Hiking down the mount is pretty cool as well.

The scene from the top of the Mt of Olives is iconic. This is what is normally on postcards, websites, in books, magazines, videos. Nothing compares to being there. It was beautiful. We came at sunset and the changing of colors to seeing the Old...More

Loved walking up the Mount of Olives and visting all the main attractions around there. We saw lots of tour buses driving up but in our opinion if you do that you wish the full beauty of the place and how it all connects together.

The Mount of Olives is well-known for its historical and biblical context. It was part of our tour of the holy city. It contains the dome of ascension and the pilgrim fields. Worth doing to connect the dots.

Yes. It may look far but actually very well doable. Take eg the Lion gate, go to Getsemaneh and directly behind Getsemaneh on the right hand side a road goes straight up to Mt Olive with the fantastic views.
