I almost don’t want to review this spot because it has already become so much more full of tourists than the first time I reviewed it 5 years ago. However, it’s just such an amazing spot that I have to review. The blowhole and heart...More

We saw the blowholw from up high in open door helo. Very Impressive! Got lots of good photos from ocean side. Probably worth the trip to drive there to see it from land side.

We have visited geysers, blowholes, and rocky shorelines around the world. This one has a beautiful setting and we enjoyed the view from just above on the cliff. Sadly the instagram crowd swarm the sight and put their lives at risk (warning signs, and memorials...More

What an amazing spot. The black sands and pebbles at the laguna shaped beach. Refreshing warm water that still cools you off from the humid air temperatures. A little hike up to the top of the volcanic rocks above the sea, you get to see...More

The blowhole is a bit of a jaunt up north. If you've got time to kill, it's fun to see. It's a little bit of a steep hike down (then back up) from the blowhole. Flipflops not advised. We decided tow watch from point above...More

Beautiful views, but please be careful and follow trail. I would not recommend going down to the blowhole in flip flops, or dressy sandals.

Nice, relatively easy hike to the Nakelele Blowhole and the Heart Shaped Rock. So getting to see two of Maui's iconic sites in one trip. Parking can be a little tight. Recommend getting the Shaka Tour app on your phone for the drive through West...More

It’s worth checking out whether you plan on walking all the way down or not. Like others said, wear good shoes and know your limits.

1. Don’t overshoot the parking lot or you will end up on a road that isn’t pleasant to drive on. 2. If you plan to hike down, wear sturdy shoes NOT flip flops. We saw numerous people have some major issues hiking down and up....More

This is a tourist thing to do. Go take a picture, and say that you went. But Hawaii has too many things that will outshine this. Can you say "Loco Moco"

I would suggest trying the blowhole at Black Sand Beach on the road to Hana. Some reviews get the two confused and review that one under here. The Black Sand Beach is a slightly more accessible spot than the Nakalele... More

It’s not a difficult trail, however, it is rocky with a couple of big steps, depending on your route down. Take your time going down and you will be fine. It is muddy and slippery if raining.
