We did the road to Hana (family of 5) knowing that for the kids it’s a bit boring to be so many hours in the car. With a good plan and the selection of the right stops, with a safety place to stop, the trip...More

This continues to be one of the most amazing drives on Maui. Spectacular views, incredible smells (love the smell of Eucalyptus!), and gorgeous waterfalls. The t-shirts that say “Road to Hana Survivor” are true. This IS a wild ride. If you are uncomfortable driving I...More

We love to take friends and family when they come to Maui on a tour of the island which would, of course, include The Road to Hana. Start early, really early. Stop and check out the waterfalls along the way. There are a ton of...More

The road to Hana is a gorgeous drive for those that do not suffer from car sickness. Please be aware there are Local Drivers that will speed and pass you in very dangerous places. My advice is to pull aside (the best you can) and...More

This winding narrow road is very pretty. There are many stops along the way to enjoy nature and waterfalls along the way. Some people even went swimming at the falls and little rivers. We didn’t go all the way to Hana. It’s a long drive....More

First download the Shaka app., it follows you by GPS and gives great info on what lies ahead. We began the road about 9am. Be patient, dont rush it, take in all the sights. My favorite part was beyond Hana. We chose not to turn around...More

I'm not sure if we just got a good day or good time of day but the drive and traffic were very manageable. It is a full day trip and you need to stop often but Mother Nature has provided wonders to see. The drive...More

We started very early in the morning around 5.30am so we were hours ahead from the crowd. The road is winding and small. So be patient for your safe. It took us 3 hours to reach Hana town including 3 stop at Three Bears Fall,...More

Well worth the drive. The curvy roads can be a little tight at times, but worth the drive. I highly recommend this drive and I also recommend purchasing the Hana Gypsy guide that starts at the beginning of the Hana Highway and is full of...More

It’s the yoga twins car. One died , the other lived and in prison. I think 60 minutes did a story on them. We had a private tour guide who filled us in.

Save the money and drive yourself and use a tour app. If you come across a local let them pass and you’ll be fine.
