Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

First let me warn you not to expect this to be a kind of shopping mall - it's not even close to it. It's rather a suburb like bunch of cheap street stalls set in an underroof alley, and selling junk for inflated prices in the main Albert St.
Even my kids showed no interest buying anything.
TIP: BEWARE of what $ you're speaking if buying something !!! The Belize $ is double lower (2 B$ = 1 US$), and the locals will always speak in the Belize one. Not knowing that, as tourists are used to US$ they'll often get extra double money.

Whenever I am in Belize City I normally stop in at the Downtown plaza and surrounding shops on Albert Street. In these areas you will mostly find clothing, cosmetics and local foods.

Taking a week;s cruise, we ported in Belize. We secure a taxi to downtown all day. Transportation was excellent and fair fare. Cab driver drove out of the tourist traps (immediate land port) and we managed to get great deals on souvenirs for our loved ones. Belize is safe, clean, and their first language is English therefore we had a blast all day. Souvenirs ranged from woven Dallas Cowboys Totes (10.00$) to pearl earrings (35.00$).

I went into Medina's jewelry to buy a pair of earrings for my daughter. I was disappointed to find out Cambranes was no longer downtown.
