We thoroughly enjoyed the Treasury tour. We had contacted our congressman and arranged a Saturday morning tour. It was a small group of 6 along with our 2 docents. They filled us with knowledge and tipbits of history that were fun and interesting. Starting off...More

If you’re on your way to the White House or are you down in the general area, just stop by the building already. Seriously, the architecture is incredible.

This is best (and only) viewed from the outside. It is close to the White House, so sometimes the back (or maybe it is the front) is cordoned off because of presidential goings-on, but well worth a picture. And stunning in the evening when it...More

Another lovely building in Washington. Has a reasonable history and well worth taking a picture off.

This building is very close to the White House. It is very impressive looking. It has different statues in front of it depending on the street you are on. We saw the statue of Albert Gallitin. The other entrance had Hamilton.

You will find this beautiful Treasury building quite close to the White House but unfortunately it was not possible to enter. In 1941 a tunnel was constructed to link the building with the White House and the securely fortified Treasury vaults, part of which was...More

It's beside the White House so you should stop and admire and read the sign with info on the outside.

You cannot Tour on a walk up or by yourself; actually, there are only two tours a week, both on Saturday morning. You must go through your congressman or senator in advance, and go through an FBI background check in order to... More
