Organise a visit as part of the walking route of the monuments on the Mall. This was our second visit to Washington and we thought that there were a lot more tourists that previously, so you might want to visit early if you don't like...More

Even though there water wasn't flowing for this monument. It was our second favorite monument. It was layed out in a cool time frame to go along with his presidency. Please make sure to make your way to this monument.

A very beautiful and well done memorial, with great statuary and important FDR quotes on the walls. The waterfalls are out of service, and the maintenance and upkeep is deplorable.....dead shrubs from lack of water, leaves everywhere, broken waterfalls, etc.

Franklin Roosevelt led out country through the Great Depression and World War II. It's about time they created a Memorial for this great president. Visit during the day and definately not at night when there is insufficient lighting to walk from one sculpture to the...More

Well I did take a pic with the President responsible for SS but it was more than likely his wife, but thank you both FDR and wife.

Would not recommend seeing in the dark. Not very well lit at night. Kind of creepy around the monument. Probably would have had a better viewing during the day.

It’s a large memorial, that is meant to have flowing water features throughout, but it wasn’t working on our visit. If the water features were working, it would be a great memorial to look at and walk through. It’s quite far out the way of...More

This is our of the way and a large interactive memorial and unlike any others. Close walking distance to MLK memorial. Shame the fountains were not working and without a guide we would not had understood there meaning. Good to see but if short of...More

The Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial has several parts and if it would be taken care it might be a nice place for people to rest and reflect on FDR. Water system is either broken or turned off to save money. But the area just seemed...More

This is a nice peaceful and shady place to sit around and eat a snack. The water system was broken when I was there, but I liked the big blocks of stone everywhere. Most of the quotes carved into the walls were OK, depending somewhat...More

Parking is very limited and a block or so away. We go to the memorial in the evening. There is plenty of parking and the memorial is awesome after dark.

It's possible you could find parking around the Tidal Basin, but I would suggest you take an Uber from wherever you are and get there that way - DC parking is horrendous!
