Take a stroll around Georgetown University and the neighborhood around it. Super fun to eat and enjoy the night out. Lots of neighborhoods to see and canal walk is great. Lots of restaurants everywhere
Took a hop on/hop off boat ride to Georgetown on Sunday morning for brunch and a chill down from DC. It's very, very popular and riverside very expensive too for drinks. That said its much more chilled and a great place to watch the world...More
I used to visit Georgetown in the 1980s and 90s. One of the attractions was a street traffic officer who had a flashy way of directing traffic at the M street intersection. Anyway the street seems to have deteriorated in facade appearance, quality of shops...More

We stayed in Georgetown during our visit to DC. It is well connected to downtown via the 30S/N metrobus, and has a nice "vibe" of its own. It has a great waterfront, some nice restaurants and friendly residents. we enjoyed our 4 days here.
Georgetown very popular but quite 'Benidormish' to us Brits. It was Labor Day weekend so maybe that was the reason but God was it packed and busy. Seen far quieter Mediterranean islands where you could sup a glass of wine and relax less than 3...More
