7 of the display areas were closed for renovation when we visited which was disappointing as they were all the ones we wanted to see!

This really a great place. Especially for children. We were disappointed that some areas were still closed for updated. Loved the Wright Bros display because we have been to Kitty Hawk.

Just so Historical and certainly worth the visit. Yes, they are doing some work on it but was great to visit. I also suggest visiting the one near Dulles airport!

Glad it s free, but exhibitions, models and objects are the same as 20 years ago. Need revamp. IMAX theatre was a good surprise.

The museum is being renovated so the entrance has changed. Some of the marked pathways are flooded. After entering the museum soaking wet, we asked about umbrella bags or a cloak room. The museum has neither. So we're walking around in our soaked coats and...More

Long, but fast moving lines. Yes half of the exhibits are closed until who knows when, so disappointing.

Well well well... I had such high expectations... rumours had circled about a taxidermied monkey from space... to see how the space men and women really lived... and oh ! The “freeze dried space food”. Right off the bat, my friend made the astute observation...More

Most of this museum is under construction. However, there are several displays which make it worth the visit. Armstrong’s space suite, friendship 7 capsule, Gemini capsule, lunar lander, spirit of st Louise, and a full size shuttle engine are all on display and awe inspiring.

Yes, it does. May be new since the others were there, but there was a Concorde about 6 months ago when I was there.
