The inside of the Library of Congress is incredible! We stopped in for about an hour before our Capitol tour and it was time well spent. The exhibits in the library were as good as the ones we saw in some of the museums. Once...More

An absolutely magnificant building. Very European artistically, especially the ceilings. The main reading room was spectacular. Plus there is an original copy of the Guttenburg Bible on the 1st floor! Highly recommend.

A fantastic building could spend hours walking around here just looking at the architecture, the books and the history... Go if you are in Washington!

We attended a free concert of Fretwork, the viola quintet, performing with countertenor, Iestyn Davies...SPECTACULAR and beautiful music. If you live in the D.C. area and don't take advantage of these chances to hear world class musicians for free you're REALLY missing out on one...More

What an amazing building. Take a tour. Look up the times before coming to preplan the times. We learned son much on the tour. The different things the point out in the paintings and the stairwell would be absolutely missed without a tour. The great...More

The architecture alone is beyond anything else in DC, The history of the library is best conveyed by a tour guide, and the exhibits will expand your understanding of why recording the gradual progression of knowledge is essential to the continued growth of our great...More

As the title says, this is the most impressive building I have ever seen. Although access is not allowed everywhere, it is still an amazing experience. Take the flyer which explains and points you to specific things, you’ll be surprised how many amazing details there...More

We wandered into the Library on a friend's recommendation and were awed. We sat down to watch a video and were then offered a guided tour on the spot. It was well worth it. The building and its contents are amazing. Our... More

I would plan 2-3 hours so as not to rush. The tour guides seem very good. My cousin works there so she took us around herself. Much more than a library!!
