Firstly, Antigua is not known as a snorkeling destination. We walked in at Half Moon bay to snorkel at the Pineapple Beach Resort and saw only small sparse fish, a lone ray and that was it. We were hoping for more at this recommended reef...More

We enjoyed snorkeling the reef. It is not off the beach, you will need to take a boat. I have not found good snorkeling off the beach in Antigua yet. Cades Reef was very good.

You have to take a cab then hire a boat to get to this reef. Very nice with larger fish. We saw huge schools of fish and a huge barracuda. No sharks this trip but the locals say there are plenty with no attacks on...More

Our group of 5 snorkellers hired a small cat to take us to the reef where our skipper led us on a snorkel around the reef, followed by a free swimming snorkel.

The water is rough and compared to other locations that are accessible by car, this isn't the best place. We went to Pineapple beach and the snorkelling there was amazing, tons to explore and not far from shore at all. We wouldn't go back here.

Water is rough, even on a good day. Wear a belt and good snorkeling equipment. Reef is shallow with some bleaching, but there is plenty of fish. It is better place for scuba divers than snorkelers because of the rough water current.

The coral reef is dead - destroyed by hurricanes or people who knows but the colour of the see in the shallows is amazing. We saw giant sting rays, snappers, parrot fish and some other coral fish. Its a nice experience for a two hour...More

Best snorkeling experience in all of Antigua areas!!! Went 3 times in 2 weeks. Beautiful clear water, tremendous amount of marine life made it spectacular.

We did not book with any one in particular, we drove to the beach and there were guides with boats there and we went with them, they were very very nice and the price was good, very safe also. Have a great trip

You can get a taxi to take you to a boat who will take you to Cades reef. I recommend Catch the cat.
