Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There were no signs to say when this cathedral opens for visitors. It is an ok looking building from outside.

Palladio has designed one of the entrance portals and the cupola, but neither is really unique. Church structure appears to be stone, with brick infills. No reinforcement iron rods between the internal bays, which is a plus- Italians tended to feel shaky about their gothic structures, so they additionally added the horizontal rods between arches.
The crypt under the main altar was worth entering, it's lit by natural light. Overall the church is pretty standard, I found the most interesting features to be art deco / cubist frescoes in one of the arches infills towards the altar.

big, rather new, with little historic or artistic value, the Cathedral of Vicenza is not a must. but it's a nice setting around it.

The main church in Vicenza so quite a large building that is resonably pretty inside though it looks nothing special from the outside.
It feels larger on the inside than it looks from the outside and is free to visit, hence worth a trip if in the area. To me though it does not seem as pretty or as interesting as Chiesa di San Lorenzo. Hence if you only have time to look at one of them I would suggest Chiesa di San Lorenzo should be your choice.

Main chatedral in Vicenza it is very large, especially when you go inside and see whole space. From the outside is like any other church.

Compared with other cathedrals in Northern Italy, this is not very interesting. I think it was destroyed during the Second World War and then restored.

Very impressive gothic church from outside (a bit less from inside).
Boasts a crypt and archaeological remains.

We began our day in Vicenza at the Duomo, where a man playing the organ set a serene tone for appreciating the carvings and frescoes. Much of the basilica had been restored in the 1990s. To the right of the altar, a side chapel featured Lorenzo Veneziano’s carved wooden 1366 altarpiece of Gothic design with a gold leaf background. Restored to what was presumably its original radiance, it depicted Mary on her deathbed surrounded and flanked by saints. Another altarpiece was more elaborate, a Romanesque 17th Century show-stopper by Bernardino Belladonna. The area under its golden arch was inlaid with squares and circles of colored marble. Set in gilded frames on each side of the altar were frescoes, four large ones and two narrow showing scenes from the New Testament.

And Vicenza is no exception to this rule. The construction of the Duomo of Vicenza was started in the 11th Century and continued through the years, as usual with medieval churches; the famous Palladio also did work for this Duomo. The Duomo is surely worth a visit during your day trip to Vicenza. I have added some pictures for an impression.
