A wonderful experience of the concrete reality of the first century AD and the exciting moment that Jesus Christ could and would have taught in this area this synagogue.....no doubt in my mind. Come and see for yourself.

Magdala is both, an archeological site and the construction of a retreat house managed by the Legionarios de Cristo. The beautiful main church already finished, and the its great lakeside location are a sample of what the amazing final development will be.

Yes they are and the two guides we used were informative and helpful. There is a ton of archeological and historical information related to the area. The chapel and encounter the deep room are marvelous places for prayer and meditation. Extraordinary really. While built by the Catholic Church, it is not a Catholic facility and open to all believers.
