We did a lot of walking in Montreal. This a a nice neighborhood to catch a beer and grab a bite. The locals were super friendly.

It’s a great place to hang out and have fun. It’s calm, and there’s a lot of things you can do: Rowing in lac aux castors, listening to the drummers in Parc Jarry, playing in the playground for little kids, having a barbecue or a...More

Plenty of little hidden gems, Plateau Mont-Royal is certainly my favourite neighborhood in the city. There are many great small restaurants (including vegan ones!), cafes and pubs, quirky thrift-shops, bakeries, bakeries and bakeries (there's an all vegan one). We had been told this was a great funky area. But we found it to be a bit run down and not that interesting.

The plateau reminds me of Bay Ridge. St Denis and Laurent are like Third and Fifth Avenues. The parks are similar to ones we have in the ridge and like Bay Ridge, Some mornings you can here the foghorns.

We really enjoyed our exploration of this area. So much to see. The architecture is colourful and various styles. Some have a "gothic" appearance which would surely be great at Halloween?! There are the outdoor staircases which seem to be the hallmark of this area....More

We enjoyed ambling around for half a day, especially once we got off the main thoroughfares. Plenty of good dining options and interesting architecture. Very convenient to the Metro Orange Line.

I love the neighborhood but am very sad to see the condition of the formerly proud Prince Arthur restaurant district. It needs some serious help. With St. Laurent at one end and the park with the fountain at the other, it should be a destination...More
