My girlfriend Sherrie and I stayed at the Bay Vista Motel in Cavendish . We visited the park on Wednesday Sept. 4. We were in awe of the natural beauty of the island and fell in love with the culture and scenery.

Jaw-dropping view as one goes further along the wooden planks of the red sand Dunes. The nearer we got to the beach, the more beautiful it was. We were very lucky, the weather was kind! I’d say a bucket list place to visit!

Very close to Charlottetown so it is easy to capture the essence of the PEI shores without the arduous driving tour routes. Great options for camping, hiking and biking.

Nice walk on the beach with bright red sand. It was windy, so we could not spend much time here. You can see similar beach by confederation bridge.

We spend a day in the park and stayed one night at the Stanhope campground. In retrospect we wish we had skipped it all together. Many trails are closed for dogs as they are not allowed on the beaches in summer and the ones you...More

This park is along the eastern shore of PEI. The ticket booths close after Labor Day, but you can still drive through the park and take the short paths to the shore. In mid-September, we found that a lot of the wooden stair entrances to...More

The parks on the North shore are very scenic. Hiking trails through sand dunes and wooded areas. great beaches for walking. Also enjoyed walking on the beach on the east shore near the lighthouse and Souris.
