I attend events at Government House every month and I can't believe what a beautiful location it is. Gardens to wander through, a Costume Museum, Tours and a Tea House with scrumptious morsels to tickle your taste buds.

A lovely building with a lovely garden where all official Government functions are held. .Unfortunately could not go inside as it was closed, worth seeing it even from the outside for its historical & architectural value.

Well, it's not literally my home, but because I am a British Columbian, somehow I feel it's partly mine! :-) Do sign up for the free tour, not just because the house itself is impressive, and the history is fascinating, but one of my favourite...More

The grounds are wonderful and a great place to take a leisurely morning stroll. I visited the gardeners in the various garden plots and chatted them up for gardening secrets. The vegetables supply Government house as do the flower gardens. They offer plant and flower...More

Beautiful gardens.. a nice stroll then view the historic buildings and the tea house. The scones are to die for and nice tea served in china... all volunteers working there and they are pleasant and helpful.

The the grounds are very rarely closed - the last time was when the Prince and Princess and children stayed there. Other than that, I can't recall a time when the grounds were not open to the public.
