It's better to go to Mexico, or other cities in South America, likr Peru or Ecuador if you want to ser architecture of 3-4 centuries ago than Spain. Those convrnyos with the pan de oro are a delight

This was our first time in Zacatecas and we took a few hours to tour the city during a brief overnight stay ... the cathedral was all lite up at night and we’ll be back when we have more time to tour it again!

Beautiful entrance, you can really feel in heaven , the background is the Cerro de la Buffa and it looks gorgeous all the time.

This is one of the most beatiful cathedrals in Mexico, and it is located in a really beautifull spot in the city, so this is one of the mandatory stops when you visit Zacatecas.

I estimate that over the course of my travels, I've visited at least a hundred cathedrals. Some really stand out. Others don't. This one I would place in the latter category.
