Always busy with lots of people wandering around, and bars overlooking the park. Plenty of seats to sit and people watch in the square. A bandstand where there is often live music. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. A market for crafts and touristy things...More

We visited on a Saturday. While it is rather touristy, lap it up. The market is vibrant and the streets around it filled with vendors of food, art, clothing and accessories. Great for people watching and passing time before Freda Khalo

End up there on sunday afternoon. Plenty of mexican families enjoying the small park with a ton of small food vendors offering authentic mexican fares and snacks. Very lively. And the church there is beautiful! Close by is a handicrafts market.

Of course visiting the Museo Frida Kahlo is a must when in Coyoacan. Beyond that, its traditional architecture, lovely squares, delicious restaurants and more museums to visit are well worth coming for. If you want to get away from the big city hustle and bustle...More
