It's THE attraction of the island. Don't let the taxi driver fool you to miss this on a 'whole island tour'. The taxi drivers want extra money to drive you to the Fortress and wait an hour for you while you take a look.
Cool castle and very well done exhibits, but don't pass on the opportunity to chat with the "guards" (reenactors). The guy we knew gave us so many insights into the history and culture of the island - made it very special.
It’s a great excursion for 2 types:

This place is a most to see it if you visit St Kitts. It has a really great views of the island. Good for take Great pictures and it is in very clean and good condition I really recommend to visit it is really worthy.

We used Johnson VIP Tours . He is here on TripAdvisor. 869-663-3889. Safe driver. He also has tour friends on Nevis that can sit you up on that Island. This was our first trip to St.Kitts we stayed 7 days. Enjoy
