What an absolutely lovely place. We stayed at Marigot Bay resort. There was a fantastic water sports club on the beach, which you could join on a weekly basis or pay as and when. Lots of great places to eat. Everyone was really friendly.
We enjoyed our short visit here. Went on a area tour that one of the locals offered. Pre purchased it online for half the price the cruise ship was offering. I would suggest you purchase your tour from the local people and not the ship....More
Marigot Bay is absolutely beautiful and picturesque. Kudos to the tourism division in St. Lucia for marketing the island and structuring the tours in such a way that the beauty of the island is preserved.
We visited here briefly and even on a cloudy day this is a pretty spot to have a drink and watch the world go by. The ferry can take you the short hop over to the beach famous as the film location for the 1960’s...More
St. Lucia overall was not as great as I was expecting. In fact, way poorer of a country than I was aware. You definitely want to be in a tour group if you wander off the beaten path. But the scenery is amazing, especially the...More

No real beaches at Marigot bay. There are some good restaurants around the resort, but you should count on bringing your own fun and night life. That’s what we did. Across the harbor from Capella resort is a little park with a tiny beach. The locals who hang out here can help with your fun. Ask for a guy named “Discount “. He’s a good guy. His real name is Camillius. He and his friends caught us some fresh snapper and barbecued it on the beach for us and also provided us with a delicious salad fresh from his garden. It was a great evening. The St. Lucian people are some of the nicest people I have ever met. They are very friendly. We loved it there, mainly because the locals and resort staff were so nice.
