Walkable so no need for a car. Lots to do, museums, shops and restaurants. There are also some interesting historical sites as well. The locals are very welcoming and helpful. There was a substantial police presence so we felt very safe.

We have had a great time exploring old San Juan. Love the blue brick streets and many hidden gems throughout. Visit San Juan Frappes and get a mojito.

Step back in time and go see Old San Juan. It's like going to Spain, honestly. We loved it. Many charming stores and restaurants.

The narrow roads, old world charming buildings and quaint storefronts were fascinating. Bring your camera! I recommend starting at the top of the hill and working your way down

Old San Juan is an excellent walking town with many authentic restaurant venues. Beautiful architecture in every block. The blue glazed brick cobblestone is very unique. Lots of great shopping too!

I just used google maps and it looks like Old San Juan is about 9 min from Condado Lagoon Villa. When we were there in April we were a little further, but it was really easy to get there via Uber.
