The Good: The beach is beautiful, it is patrolled and I felt safe there. Water is sparkling and not extremely crowded. It was fairly inexpensive costing us a total of 30 bucks to get in, (including chairs and umbrella), we did not purchase anything from...More
My family and I were travelling with Disney Cruise and while we were shopping at one of the stores at port, the salesman suggested we spend a few hours at this beach. A bit of a distance from the port. The entrance fee to the...More

Doctor's Cave is a nice beach, but not the resort experience you may have had in other ports. It is very busy when there are cruise ships in port, so I don't know that you can guarantee an umbrella and chairs. However, this is a main source of local revenue, so they do their best to accommodate. There are restaurants that can be accessed from the beach and there is drink service on the beach itself. We had no trouble finding local taxis wherever we went. Be aware that you should negotiate the fees before you get in.
