Great place for diving or snorkeling! Pre-book on-line or find a local dive shop upon arrival. Everyone we met was so nice, interesting and helpful. Helps to speak French but not required.

If you are on Basse Terre and the west shore of Guadeloupe check out the diving and snorkeling in the Reserve Cousteau Marien Park. Clear water and a very nice variety of marine life and coral. On our dive, we saw a turtle as soon...More

We booked the glass bottom boat and Snorkeling tour excursion through our Marella Celebration cruise ship and it was a nice day out rather than being spectacular. Once out of town the coach trip through the forest through up some nice scenery and we stopped...More

We stayed in an Airbnb overlooking Malendure/Pidgeon Island. I watched the tour boats and kayaks go back and forth all day. We decided to rent kayaks and go to the island. The good and bad things are that it is generally unregulated (or appeared so)....More

As others have noted, this isn't the greatest dive spot in the Caribbean, but if you find yourself on Guadeloupe, then by all means this is still the number 1 attraction there. That said, it is confusing and misleading that the "website" link which TripAdvisor...More

The reef was just as extraordinary as all the underwater documentaries you've seen your whole life. Does not disappoint! We did both scuba diving and snorkeling. Even just snorkeling alone off of Pigeon Island would've been enough to see fantastic fish and coral. We also...More

We chartered a sailing boat for a couple of weeks out of Pointe à Pitre with a prime aim to visit Deshaies (site of "Death in Paradise" filming). One place of call was Malendure where we found a shack on the beach that offered food...More

There are two options to get there - Nautilius (4 cruses daily) - a ship with glass bottom (and half an hour of snorkeling) or kayak rental - in this case you can explore little island. Unfortunately, there is more and more sargassum on the...More

Our family took the glass bottom boat and snorkeling tour over Spring Break. It was fantastic, the views of the fish and the snorkling. Although the tour includes snorkeling equipment, it is old and I would recommend bringing your own.

Unfortunately we didn’t see many fish, the coral appeared dead and no turtles! Apparently it maybe due to the effects of Hurricane Erma? The glass bottom boat was ok especially for those that can’t swim and for children. No English spoken unfortunately. A very short...More

so sorry for the delay, I only snorkeled. However, I would advise to pre-book as I couldn't get on a trip to the island offshore and the best dive sites due to not booking in advance.
