Staying in La Romana - we booked with Scuba Caribe for their catamaran ride to Catalina Island for snorkelling at a coral reef. It was a snap at 75USD pp. On the morning of our experience, due to a mix up we joined another tour...More

Worst excursion ever! We booked through Carnival Cruise. Island was filthy, piles of garbage, bus ride to Catamaran and Catamaran ride had surly, rude employees, none of the usual information during rides about excursion. We had to go through a gauntlet of pushy folks trying...More

We booked our trip through the Bahia Principe La Romana. The main reason for going on this trip was to snorkle as the sea by our hotel was cloudy due to the rains. A boat took us from the beach of the hotel and after...More

Amazing beach. Best I have ever seen. The clearest water and you could see all the fish around your feet. Simply amazing, could quite happily live there!

Beautiful beaches and clear water. We recently took this trip. Other than the long commute with switching on 3 buses to get to the boat, our experience was good. Buffet on the island was enjoyable and sandy beaches were worth the wait.

We went to Catalina Island by a charter boat from La Romana. This island is worth the trip for the day. There was lots of food set out for us and the snorkeling was good, but not as good as Roatan, Honduras. We sat on...More
