First church in America. Well preserved, and gives you the feeling as if you were in Europe. A must see.

Smaller than some you'll see but filled with local history and heroes as all great churches are. If you can get on a tour where this is part of it I would, what with it being the first in all the americas.

With only two hours to tour we chose the Cathedral. Beautiful. Very old, awesome architecture. Great choice in Santo Domingo.

This is a must see. With 10 differently designed chapels the place is amazing. One can feel the history and spirit of Christ. It is cool and calming. English translated headphones are provided to listen to. That was a really nice treat.

This is the oldest cathedral in the new world. It is amazing to walk around it, inside and out. Ladies, you do have to cover your legs but they provide you with a wrap. You can get headphones that explain everything as your walking around.

One of the most relevant buildings in the city. Check if there is a mass. People are very religious here and it’s a good experience

Yes this the first Catholic Church in all America, founded in 1512. It's very impressive and interesting, should be in better condition but our government dont take care of our most valuable and historical resources.
