This is a wonderful trail that goes around the lake. Visiting Rocky Mountain National Park is definitely a must do activity when in Colorado.

Beautiful scenery early in the morning when there is no wind; you can see the signature reflection of the Rocky mountain as you walk around the lake; easy walk around Bear lake for the entire family.

Bear lake trail is an easy hike, little elevation gain overall. The lake is bigger than I imagined, and yet more beautiful than I expected. Along the trail, you can spot some cute chipmunks and mysterious skyblue dragonflies.

We visited Estes Park in late June. One of the hikes we took was the 4 lakes hike (Bear, Nymph, Dream and Emerald). This was a great hike with fantastic views. Much of the hike between Dream and Emerald Lake was still covered with snow...More

With only a half-day to explore RMNP, we made this our first hike of the day. Lots of snow remained on the shady side of the lake trail. Chipmunks are glad to pose for your photos in hopes of a handout. If you only have...More
