1/4 mile in and out. If you are not used to high altitude, this may be difficult to do. The trail is well paved. Don’t be ashamed to take a break. It is tough coming back up. There is a trailhead by the North Rim...More

This place is right near the Bright Angel Lodge. It's one of the best views of the Canyon. There is also access to Bright Angel Trail right near there as well. A great place for all.

This is a short walk from the North Rim Lodge. You get a slightly different perspective view from here, and especially to the east. You can see the North Kaibab trail below, which actually starts a ways back up the highway from the lodge.

The short trail of eight hundred meters is steep in part of the way but the lovely view to the canyon is worth it.

We didn’t allot enough time to go to the 1st rest area. I would suggest doing first thing in the morning while it is cooler and it allows you time to just absorb the beauty of the canyon from a different perspective. Be sure to...More

Short but steep hike to some cool scenic views of the canyon on the north rim. You can access this point very easily from the Lodge.

Nice little walk out to the point for some great photos of the canyon. This walk is steep and narrow in parts so use proper footwear. People who experience vertigo or Acrophobia may feel very uncomfortable. I have been out to the North rim 4...More
