As soon as you get out of the car to the info center it’s pure scent of cedar and pine. Instant relief and calmness. Info center is great. Really blends in with the nature eco theme. Views are stunning. It’s like a mini targnat mountain...More

This national park is less than an hour's drive from Quebec City. Great for water activities like kayaking on the Jacques Cartier River, as well as for hiking in the Laurentides mountains. The hiking trails are very well marked, unless you choose to do a...More

It's an easy day trip, not far from the heart of Quebec City. We enjoy visiting parks, so it was well worth the trip for us. We had a picnic lunch at the visitor center, near the river, where our daughter was able to get...More

We really liked our stay at Parc National du Samuel de Champlain. It’s close enough to Quebec City that you can drive in for the day, and far enough that you can really enjoy the outdoors. Campsites are private enough and the washroom are clean...More

We visited the park mid July. The drive there from Quebec city was beautiful. The views in the park are lovely. One downside was the campsites. They were well laid out, but they were all gravel. Not a big deal if you're in a trailer...More

A beautiful park with excellent trails and very good campgrounds. The campgrounds are well taken care of and the washrooms were very clean. It's $ 1 for 4 minutes, but one can interrupt the water flow (which makes the timer stop as well) or add...More

Beautiful park just north of Quebec City. A great day trip to rejuvenate and get away. Just enough rapids on the river to make kayaking exciting but not intimidating. Saw beaver dams and streams cascading down the mountain on a hike up to a stunning...More

Any time of the year a great park to visit. 4 wheel drive recommended in the winter but not a must. Make sure you drive all the way to the end for great views.

We didn't get to spend long here, but it looks like it would be a great place for hiking. The views along the river are stunning. It also has a pretty nice customer service building if you need to get some snacks or use the...More

We did not actually walk the trails but from what we saw at trailheads, I would not think a stroller would work at all. Even the driving roads got pretty rough at times.
