This was the absolute highlight of our Lapland trip. We loved it! We had the job of driving the sleigh whilst the children sat in the sleigh all wrapped up, it was amazing. We went on a 10k trip with our wonderful dogs who are so powerful - whilst the sun was setting in the most beautiful forest. As a driver you had the job of steering and jumping off to run with the sleigh up the hill sections and slowing it down when we went downhill. The dogs were friendly and we were able to give them a cuddle after the ride - which was lovely.. they are clearly used to human contact and seemed to love a neck scratch and a cuddle. We also met some puppies after the ride who were also happy to play. I saw some posts about dog welfare and I didn’t have the same concerns. The dogs love outside but each and their own large area, hot for sleeping and they are clean and they are not fearful or nervous around humans. We absolutely loved it and wished we had done the longer trip that you can book on the website. If ever we come again we would so the longer one - several times!

We all had the most amazing time with the Huskys today. We choose the 2 hr trip where we were taking to the Huskys by bus (around 10mins). Extra warm clothing was supplied. The guide was very helpful and ensured we got the best out of our Husky experience. The sleighs were comfy with a reindeer hide to sit on. One person drove the sleigh whilst the other one was sitting in it. Plenty of opportunities to swap over. Once finished we got taken to a traditional finish hut with open fires, warm drinks and a snack. Plenty of time for any questions and our guide was more than helpful.
We then got to meet the puppies and lots of photo opportunities.
Definitely a must if you’re coming to Finland. We wouldn’t of missed it for the world.

What an incredible experience. I drove the sleigh and my 2 children sat in it, typing this now just feels like it wasn't real, did I really do that?! My 10 year old daughter loved it so much her ambition is now to work there when she is old enough - it would be her dream job.
I don't share the concerns of some of the other reviewers regarding the welfare of the dogs. Yes, the dogs live outside with their own little kennel each, but they are working Husky dogs! At the end of our ride we had the chance to spend time with the 6 dogs who pulled our sleigh, one in particular was so super friendly, a really happy dog who was loving the attention. The others were friendly too, I doubt we would have been left alone with them if the dogs were under socialised (they are not ).
Really hope to return one day.

I had a great husky safari experience with them.
1. It was almost -40 and they provided all the necessary equipment and clothing to get warm and comfortable. Socks, boots, jumpsuits, mittens, balaclavas, and hats.
2. The team is very professional, the instructions were clear, and there was almost no chance to get damaged or do something wrong during the tour.
3. My favorite - the Doggos! They are the sweetest part. Wise and well-prepared dogs. Don't worry, it's not harmful to the dogs, they are very happy to run and spend their energy. The farm is large and clean, there is a separate house for each dog, and all of them get special care and training.
4. A nice bonus, after the tour there were sweet snacks and hot juice waiting for us inside.
5. And of course, you can cuddle with sweet pups after the tour.

I researched sledding dog culture among the Finn and Sami people before visiting Saariselkä and learned that dog sled riding is almost exclusively done for travel tourism as opposed to an actual way of living. I was thus concerned about the welfare of the dogs who run in the husky safaris. I contacted several husky safari operators in Saariselkä and only the responses I received from Husky & Co. reassured me that the dogs were treated well, both in terms of how many safaris they run each day (2) and what kind of routine they have during the off season. My partner and I did the 2-3 hour safari and really had a fantastic time. The dogs were really well trained/behaved and seemed happy and excited to pull us along the beautiful track. Not all of the dogs were huskies - one in our team of 6 dogs seemed like some type of pointer breed who had really short hair not suitable for cold climates, but the team at Husky & Co. outfitted him/her with a little winter coat and s/he did just fine during the safari. This was one of the most memorable travel experiences I’ve had and I highly recommend it!

Fantastic 2 hour husky trip with knowledgeable tour guide. Ride went through beautiful scenery and driving the sledge was an amazing experience. Loved seeing and interacting with the huskies and puppies at the end of the trip. Would highly recommend booking this. Husky and co staff were great with changing our dates from last year and replied to emails very quickly.

Once in a lifetime experience that you can have in Lapland. Tour organiser team was very professional what they were doing and giving good instructions at the beginning. Some 10kms Husky ride went by quickly as we were enjoying it a lot. The person who is sitting at the sledge can take spectacular photos and videos during the ride. It's amazing how these dogs have strength to pull the sledge but that's what they love to do, several times a day we were told. Group leader Jakob was very informative and clearly was loving his nice job there. At the end of the tour there was still possibility to cuddle husky puppies which surely everyone likes to do if provided a chance.
Highly recommended tour to take once in Saariselkä.

Fabulous experience with Huksy & Co. we didn’t expect that we would be driving the huskies and sleigh! Luckily we had a good briefing at the beginning and also the dogs obviously know what they are doing and are well trained! The support staff made sure that everyone was safe and keeping up at all times. We got to have a bit of time with the puppies at the end also. We got collected and returned to Saariselka.
The experience of being towed by the dogs through a perfect, snowy Arctic landscape as the sun set was absolutely magical.
The dogs seemed well cared for and aren’t pets but working animals. No concerns here about animal welfare.

Basically it was an interesting and well organized tour. The woman who gave the explanations did this very well. The dogs were well trained kept calm douring the sleigh ride. There was only one disturbing thing: The staff -in my instance a young woman- who guided the sleighs on their snow mobils was partially unfriedly. Of course I unterstand that keeping an eye on alle the sleights is a difficult matter and there is always danger of an accident. Nevertheless an
inappropriate an agressive tone/voice should be avoided, especially by
falsely accusing somebody who does souch a ride for the first time and really tried his best of beeing careless etc. When working in the tourism an respectful handling even in situations of stress should be a self-evidence.

Went to the Husky & Co farm through another agency (Lapland Welcome) as part of a fill day snowmobile/husky trip.
The Husky part at Husky & co was really the highlight of our Finland-trip and everything we dreamed of. Riding, steering and going on your own sleigh with a span of 6 dogs through the beautiful Finnish nature in bright sun was so amazing and truly a great great lasting memory. Seeing how the treat their dogs, get to pet them afterwards and experiencing their professionalism around the dogs just added to the joy of the day ☀️🇫🇮🥰
