Tour in the Prosecco Hills Tour from Padua

By Lovivo Tour Experience
This tour through the hills of Valdobbiadene and the Prosecco DOCG will take you to the upper Treviso area, just over an hour's drive from Venice, along the natural amphitheater that opens up between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. A unique scenario that has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2019. The tour includes a visit to enchanting places such as the Molinetto della Croda and the Cistercian Abbey of Santa Maria di Follina, two of the most evocative corners of the Treviso area. For lunch we will visit a family-run winery for a wine tasting paired with typical local products: an obligatory stop to learn about the production methods and taste the excellence of the area. Finally we will make a stop in a second cellar to end the day by toasting with a glass of the prestigious Cartizze, one of the most renowned types of Prosecco.

          Oil & Wine tour
We enjoyed the olive oil and wine tour from Venice. The train was very nice and Chiara, our guide, picked us up from the station. We drove through beautiful countryside and enjoyed a tasting at an olive oil center. We ended at a winery with a tour of the vineyard and a tasting around the table with the vineyard owner. It was like having wine with old friends. Chiara was so friendly and welcoming. She told us a lot about the area and made our day really fun. Would recommend!

Interesting and enjoyable tour of Padua
We had a fantastic walking tour through the streets of Padua with our friendly and knowledgeable local guide Chiara. She had plenty to share about the history and culture of this beautiful city, and was keen to answer all of our questions, too. The tour enabled us to learn more about the main attractions of Padua, as well as about the lesser-known traits of the city and its people. It was very interesting and extremely enjoyable. Highly recommend it!

          A walking tour of Padua
I enjoyed our half-day small group tour of Padua and I highly recommend it! The pick up / drop off from/ to the hotel made it convenient. I particularly enjoyed the visit to the Basilica of St Anthony of Padua and our coffee break at the famous Pedrocchi, caffe Storico to try the Pedrocchi coffee with mint and pastries. Our nice driver/ guide speaks English well and very pleasant.

          Wonderful oil and wine tasting
We had a wonderful morning tasting olive oil and wine with Chiara. It was especially nice to learn about olive oil and how to tell a good one. The wine tasting was fabulous as well.

          The best tour in Padua!
The view was amazing! I loved seeing the beauty the place had to offer. The tour guide was amazing at her job. She explained the history well, provided good sighting at the city, and allowed to take my time within churches. I was able to see the local markets, the locals themselves, the city, and the livelyhood of the area. If it wasnt for the tour, I would have never seen the places on my own. She was very warm and friendly. She has a personality that makes you feel safe and comfortable to be around with. I would recommend going to this tour again with friends, family, or solo.

          Highly recommend this tour!
I can't say enough great things about my tour! I did this tour while baby wearing my 1-year-old. My tour guide was amazing. She spoke great English, was super personable and made us feel at home . She did a great job of incorporating a little bit of history of the city, sight seeing, as well as customizing the tour to our interests. We had some delicious snacks and I got to see parts of Padova that I would not have seen on my own. I truly felt like I was a local! If I had more time here, I would definitely check out the Eugenian Hills tour as well. Thanks again for taking us around Padua!

A beautiful experience in a beautiful place!
The tour with Lo Vivo was quite the experience. The extra virgin olive oil tour of Evo del Borgo, and wine tour of the Loreggian Wine Estate was for us undeniably, the unforgettable, quintessential Italian experience. This is what one favours travel to this country for - the food, the warm and accommodating hospitality and its people; the pristine countryside, with its rolling hills of wine estates and olive trees, and the constant exchange of "Grazie" and enthusiastic response "Prego" point to a culture embodying the attitude of gratitude. Wonderful! Martina was a superb host, from the time we arrived from Venice, she took gentle charge and guided us through the sites as she drove to Evo del Borgo. Did we forget to mention that she surprised her mother, whom we picked up on the way from her restaurant, with a day out shared with total strangers? It felt natural, despite the language barrier and constant interpretation by Martina, it was a magnetic camaraderie, with Mama jumping in with little quips of the tour that she felt her daughter had missed out on. Italy at it's best. Laughter and ease followed. At Evo del Borgo, we saw the olive oil manufacturing process. Preservation of flavour, aroma, and the true beauty that olive oil is. They even have a brand called Moonlight, where olives are picked on full moon nights and processed, and you can taste the difference between this oil and the rest. No hesitation in picking up a bottle that was reasonably priced. Martina then drove us to the wine estate, where Silvia, the owner and a qualified Viticultursit and Oenologist, met us upon arrival. She gave us a detailed vineyard tour, showing us vines up to seventy five years old. Seventy five! Through carefully preserved family tradition and constant adaptation, this vineyard has perfected their wine making that culminates in several variatals. The most notable one for us was the Moscato: double fermented and aged to perfection, resulting in a balanced fizz, and dry, flowery-citrus aroma. Of course, we picked a bottle of this as well. To summarise, if you're considering an intimate olive oil and wine tour in the Veneto region of Italy, then look no further than Martina and Lo Vivo! Attention to detail, a rich history in culture, stunning architecture, and an explosion of flavours that sums up just this one region of a beautiful country - this is it.

          Wine and olive tour
We love this tour and Martina was very helpful explaining us about terme water from her great experience about archeology. Sometime you think you know it all but people like Martina give you more knowledge about things that you don’t learn before. Thank you Martina 👍

          Great Hall
Fantastic town hall building, with a large wooden roof, frescos, a very large horse, punishment stone and museum. There is a market in both the squares. The ground floor has many restaurants and shops.

Tour of the Euganean Hill area, stopping at an Olive Orchard on the way to the Mediaeval City.
Our guide, Cami, picked us up in a minivan at our hotel, Mioni Royal San and there were 4 total on the tour plus the guide. The tour was given in English, and luckily the other two guests were pretty fluent though Cami did fill in some details for one of the guests either in French or German, I'm not sure which. On our way to the olive orchards we stopped for a little information and picture opportunities at a few very old buildings that were in excellent condition were a little later period than the Medieval City. At the orchard, we went in the morning so we could get a tour of the state of the art machinery used to process the olives picked each day. Several large stainless steel processors that cleaned, pitted, pressed and prepared the olive oil that was then bottled by hand. There was a small shop that had all varieties of products related to olives, much of it done there at this facility. We did some tasting of different varieties of olive oil. After driving through the Euganean Hills, a lovely countryside we arrived at the Ancient City, Aqua Petrarca. We walked on the paving stone roads to the large home where the leading family in the area lived. It is preserved with its original walls and wooden parquet ceilings. Then a gentle walk down to the Holy Trinity church, during which the church bells rang loudly at noon. The Church is lovely inside and is still used by the community. There was an interesting building that had a huge old grape vine coming out of the wall in a couple of places and it spreads out on the exterior wall. The History, the guide and the whole experience was great.

A reaaly interesting tour without all the tourists.
This tour let us experience how the other half lived in Venice's hayday! we were looking for an out of town trip that let us experience the countryside without driving all day. our guide Camilla met us near our apartment in Padova and we enjoyed the experience with a small group (only two others). We stopped first at a beautiful villa about 20 minutes from Padova to see how Venetian nobles lived. The exhibits were well organized and the villa even had a nice coffee shop (Camilla was kind to treat as she was a few minutes late in meeting us as the initial group was late meeting her). The second villa was more like Versaille palace, magnificent enough that mebers of Napoleon's family lived there. Yet at the smae time, hardly anyone was there! really great to see such a wonderful site without being surrouded by other tourists) The countryside was beautiful and the tour was very enjoyable. With the agreement of the other two, Camilla was happy to add an unscheduled stop in a small village where we had a delicious sushi lunch. Camilla is a good diver and is very knowledgeable about the tour sites.
