Please know that I am not pressuring you or persuading you read this review. - If you try to get a refund you will here something along these lines at some point. If you are a tourist please read the disclaimer in full. If there any problem and I mean any (ours was the helicopter broke down) you will need to book again. That's all fine and I'm happy they are safety conscience. See I figured we might have to rebook because of weather or something like this so that is why we stayed in the area for 4 1/2 days, so we would have time to rebook if there was a problem. But this is a busy company and they couldn't fly us again till over a month out. Oh and you can't get a refund unless there are 3 cancellations in a row - it doesn't matter the reason. So we are on vacation, nobody knows us so that makes it hard to sell the tickets as they suggested. I'm just writing this warning because it's very risky to go on this excision if you don't live anywhere close by. It's to bad, I'm sure it would of been great.

If you are planning to book this as a gift, DO NOT do it. I purchased it as a birthday present and twice the flight was cancelled due to technical difficulties with the helicopter. The voucher is extended but the Alternative Dates are offered many months apart. Season only runs from April to October. For us, 4 months after purchasing the experience, we still haven’t used our voucher, and we don’t even feel safe flying now when a new date comes available next year if there are constant technical issues with their helicopters. I suppose our money has gone down the drain… 🤷🏻‍♀️

The ground staff and pilot were lovely - in particular, our pilot Dominic took us around cool sites like The Hill of Tara, Newgrange and Slane Castle. He also pointed out other places of interest throughout our journey and was happy to answer questions. This is a wonderful idea for a gift voucher for a birthday or Xmas gift - my wife loved the trip.

Please do not use this helicopter touring company. I used to have nice summers enjoying my garden with my two young children but now I'm plagued by the noise of these helicopters flying over head. They are uk registered so the Irish tourism industry isn't even benefiting. Instead please think about visiting the attractions/sites in person who employ local Irish people and have the true experience of these beautiful places.

I booked a this for my hubbys 60th he really enjoyed great views we had lovely weather for once very well organised there was a couple of negatives they put the flight back one hour without saying anything which was a bit strange.they were running late anyway due to a funeral they could have given us more information on when they were going to start flying however could have opened the refreshments while we were waiting nothing went on to just before the helicopter landed. We also had trouble getting the car into the car park but a very enjoyable trip for my hubby he really enjoyed

A pleasure flight for 3 was purchased for a special occasion of a 50th birthday. The flight was supposed to take place at the very start of march. Extremely disappointed to know it’s August and our flight was cancelled for the 3rd time. It was first postponed in March due to bad weather, then we waited for an available date till May. The weather was lovely and I got a text 15 minutes before the flight as I was leaving for the airport that there’s a “ technical issue with the aircraft”. It was very frustrating especially that days off work were taken and we felt pretty bad for the birthday girl as she didn’t know what’s going on and was so excited to find out what her surprise is. The date was changed again and we waited again for over a month and a half. A day before the flight I got a call I didn’t get to answer so I listened to the voicemail left. The flight was postponed as “ the helicopter won’t make it back from the uk in time”. The next available date for the 3 of us is on the 28th of October. Due to all the frustration we decided to go to the airport and speak to the adventure 001 on the day of the flight. We were there an hour after our flight was supposed to be taking place. As we walked in there was a girl there waiting asking if were there to check in as the helicopter was about to leave with other customers. I find that absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional as I believe the adventure 001 team should do everything in their power to add on a flight suitable for us or move the other flights making it their priority to make us happy and find the most suitable way out. If our flight was postponed 3 times then why were other flights not moved to a different time or date in order to fit us in. This whole situation had a very negative effect on us while also making us look bad multiple times. It was supposed to be a great birthday present but 7 months later it just doesn’t seem to work anymore. Sadly I requested a refund and it’s pretty clear to me we won’t be flying or recommending Adventure 001. Avoid at all costs. Too much hassle and stress. For that price everything should be great. My son booked this helicopter ride to see the copper cost for my 50th birthday. It was amazing, I would definitely recommend it . It's not scary at all. I found it very smooth, not like an airplane, that's a tick off my bucket list. Would definitely do it again

If I could give this less than 1 star I would I booked this for my parents as a 60th birthday present in April 2023. So far the flight has been “postponed” 3 times since it was booked. We are now in May 2024. This is disgraceful! Each time I have received an email 3 days in advance which is not enough time to cancel the accommodation booking my parents had to get to the venue and they had to pay for the venue twice even though their sole reason for booking was the helicopter ride. 0/5, would not recommend!

DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!!! We had a bereavement in the family and could not reschedule our booking online because they only allow changing bookings 7 days before the booked date. I tried calling all day before the date to explain but the phone number tells you to go to the website which is extremely limited. I thought that eventually someone would be able to take the call but no. I emailed support and they said is there someone else who could use it because they won't let me reschedule. They gave me 15% off my next booking which I will never use. Complete waste of money never had such bad customer support before. Bad experience with them from start to finish. I will actively tell people to avoid this company in the future.

The weather didn't look good when we were driving to Donegal Airport but after taking off we got amazing views of the Wild Atlantic coastline and the Derryveagh Mountains. We had an excellent pilot Dominic who made a small diversion to spot a friend of ours and his dog on the beach at Cruit Island. Helicopter crew at the airport was friendly and professional. It was a fantastic experience, we are looking forward to seeing Adventure001 back to Donegal. I understood they come to the northwest only once a year. I hope they will add on an other date in the summer when everything turns green. Many thanks Peter & Adrienn

Beware - If You Buy A Voucher - Use It !!! We got one before COVID ... couldn't use it and fair play they extended until last year but ..still didn't get the opportunity....they have Moey refused to further extend it...they have our money ..and we have nothing ..

I would NOT recommend this company at all. Yes they had to cancel my flights but more importantly they gave me only one date as an rebooking option before my voucher expired. I was promised a return call by the boss, didn't happen. Very unhappy with the service and investigating through trading standards what my options are.

A fantastic experience. Lovely pilot, chatty and informative. Smooth and comfortable flight. We had a cracking sunny day so it was absolutely perfect.

Flew from Ballinrobe Co. Mayo on Sunday 8th October’23. A wonderful experience. Staff are so friendly and helpful. The pilot Dominic was great and very informative. I would recommend this as an experience and I’ve a feeling we will be back!

Received it as a gift and waited 4 years due to COVID and availability but it was so worth it! Great experience and amazing idea for a present! Highly recommended! :D
