Excellent Sorrento Transfer and Hurculaneum Visit
My wife and I are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary, and after a long day of traveling from the U.S. and landing in Italy at 6 am, Askos Tours was an excellent decision for a private car transfer from Naples to Sorrento. We stopped for a 2-hour private tour led by an archaeologists - he was knowledgeable, detailed, friendly, and a pleasure for our two hours. Our driver, Giovanni, was wonderful. He met us at the airport early and safely helped us on our way from the airport to Hurculaneum to Sorrento. He was pleasant, friendly, and a pleasure. Great first experience in Italy!

This archaeological tour given by the professor, was one of the best I ever experienced. He knew every aspect of Hercula
Excellent tour led by an archeological professor who explained with deep knowledge all aspects of Herculaneum life and the disaster that was caused by the volcano.

Who knew an ancient civilisation could be wow us with their ingenuity and their way of life?! Thanks Luciano.
This tour of Herculaneum exceeded our expectations! Our tour guide, Luciano, was engaging, warm, funny and oh so knowledgeable. Herculaneum is amazingly well preserved, and Luciano added so much more with his stories and facts about the history and the dig. We really loved this tour.

On previous visits to Herculaneum and Pompeii, we've had better information from tour guides hired on the spot.
Our guide was not an archaeologist. His information was limited, and he seemed to think the main thing we wanted to see was "the bodies." Our tours to both Herculaneum and Pompei seemed focused on avoiding crowds. We didn't see many of the most famous houses/buildings. On previous visits to both sites, we've had better luck with tour guides hired on the spot.

        Super Cool day at Pompeii
We had an awesome tour with Nicoletta. Very informative and appreciated learning all of the history from a passionate Archeologist! It was nice to do the tour and to gain a deeper understanding on what we were actually looking at.

        A must see!
It was a great experience and good to include Herculanum! Only transport to the station at end of the tour should be included (walking uphill for 15-20 m after a walking tour of 6 hours…)

Amalfi coast drive visting Positano, Praiano & Ravello
Luca took us round for a whole day around Amalfi coast guiding us in English. We wanted to visit the Grotto dela Smeraldo and he took us there at a good time when it was not to crowded. He made stops and recommendation and answered random questions about the area and people from my two tweenage kids with a lot of patience. Thankyou for a lovely day

A walk up the Vesuvius to see the crater
The views were amazing. Mario our guide was funny, very helpful and was always at hand to answer our questions. He told us not only about the Vesuvius but pointed out the otger volcanos in the area. He talked to us about other points of interest in Naples and also Amalfi and Ravello that we may be interested in.

        Great time with Andrea
Andrea was a great and entertaining host making the history interesting. I also enjoyed being able to explore the premises even after our tour ended. Would book again with them for sure.

Great tour, brings the ancient city to life
Our guide Theresa was great, she had so much knowledge and passion for Pompeii, this made the tour really interesting and bring the ancient city to life. She had a very good way of communicating everything to explain the Roman way of life. The tour includes ear pieces so the guide can continue to give information while we were walking between the sights. I would highly recommend this tour.

        Great Experience
The staff was fast and efficient in organizing the group. Our guide was knowledgeable and pleasant. We learned more than we would have on our own, and we didn't wait in line at all.

        Archeologist tour
Amazing tour. Anna Sorrento is a great archeologist and wonderful guide. She is very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Pompeii. We were fortunate to have a very small group and Anna answered all our questions. Way better tour than the ones in Rome. Highly recommend.

        Amazing!
Excellent tour. Our guide Michele was amazing. So knowledgeable & shared some of the projects he had worked on. He was very enthusiastic & we saw So many fantastic things. A definite must do when in Naples. Smaller crowds compared to Pompei made it even more enjoyable

        Great tour!
Great tour! Our tour guide, Benedicto, provided us so much history and a better understanding of Pompei. We were able to see many of the homes, shops, streets…Benedicto helped us understand life in that city at that time. Great tour. 2 hrs was just enough!

My favourite day out in all of Italy...
Our tour to Pompeii and Herculaneum was a truly memorable experience. We were lucky to be guided around by a fantastic archaeologist in Lucio. He made the tour such an immersive experience courtesy of his keen insights, sense of humour and obvious passion for all of the sights. To be sure, you simply can not visit and appreciate sites as truly impressive and large as Pompeii and the smaller but equally majestic (if not moreso) ancient ruins of Herculaneum without the guidance of an experienced archaeologist such as Lucio. Every ancient ruin was brought to life through his story telling. For anyone looking to visit, do not overlook Herculaneum! It had the more well preserved ruins and as this tour visited both sites it was truly excellent value for money. An enthralling day and not overly long at 6hrs.
