Sightseeing in Hawaiʻi isn’t complete without a visit to the two symbolic “bookends” of the Pacific War, the USS Arizona whose bombing was the catalyst that propelled the US into WWII, and the USS Missouri on whose decks the Japanese formally surrendered.  Pearl Harbor Remembered Tour is led by a guide whose knowledge of and appreciation for these historic sites makes this “memorial” tour an experience to remember.  Stops and drive-by sites on the Pearl Harbor Remembered may include: •Pearl Harbor Visitor Center – Experience world-class museums, waterfront exhibits, the bookstore and more. • USS Arizona Memorial-View a 23-minute documentary about December 7, 1941, then take a shuttle boat ride to board the USS Arizona Memorial. Shuttle boat ride tickets to the USS Arizona Memorial may be canceled or modified due to mechanical issues, high winds, or other safety concerns. Happy to see a sea turtle!
I really enjoyed going around Waimea Valley and Waimea Beach, especially. We got lucky to be able to see a sea turtle at the beach. Chico was a delightful and entertaing guide! He has a lot of knowledge about the history, culture, etc., and explained things very well. Thank you for the great trip!

Best Pearl Harbour and City tour
This is one of the best tours that we’ve been on. Our tour guide Kama was very knowledgeable and humorous. He made learning about Honolulu and about Pearl Harbour both very interesting and enjoyable. I highly recommend this city tour and our guide!

Having a tour bus was the way to go. Kama was a great tour guide giving us info about sites on the drive to Pearl Harbor. It was nice to not worry about driving or parking.

Kama was a great tour guide and I would 100% recommend him. As far as the tour it self I don’t care for the fact we got rebooked from what we originally booked and that we had to be picked up by a shuttle bus extremely far out of the way from Pearl Harbor. Def do research before hand on the location of which you’d be picked up from..

Trip advisor provided us with the wrong pick up times than the E Noa Tour actually provides leaving us waiting in the rain at the wrong location for a bus for an extra hour and fifteen minutes. We then had to call E Noa direct to get the right location and time for pick up. The bus then arrived with now windows as it is an open air bus but it was pouring rain. Once at pearl harbour we were separated from our partners as only 1 person per group could check the bags leaving the others with the bus driver. My partner then had no idea where we went and got lost after checking our bag. I also thought that with the tour we would have access to the bowfin museum but nope you had to pay extra for that. Honestly you’re better off driving yourself and paying for the entry to the museums you want. The only positives were our bus driver was so lovely and tried getting everyone rain ponchos and then dropped everyone off at their individual hotels as we were all soaking wet.

This raining season was super challenging for sure, we hope that you were able to enjoy your vacation the best you could. If by chance you are still in Hawaii we would love to invite you to sightsee with us on Waikiki Trolley now that the weather has cleared up. Give me a call at 808-798-2708 and I'll arrange it for you. By the way, who was your driver? -Lawrence

On May 13th, two couples took your Pearl Harbor Remembered Tour. Two of us are Vietnam era veterans who were looking forward to visiting Pearl Harbor for the first time and especially visiting the USS Arizona Memorial. We particularly chose this tour because it included both the Arizona Memorial and the USS Missouri.

On the morning of the tour we were informed by your driver that we will not be journeying to the Arizona Memorial because the Navy has limited the number of visitors due to a decreased number of available shuttle boats. This was extremely disappointing for us. Especially since we will likely never return to Pearl Harbor again.

In talking to Park Service personnel at Pearl Harbor, we found out that the decrease in boat service has been going on for a while and was not an isolated event. I feel that we should have been informed of this itinerary change well before our trip to Hawaii so we could have made other tour plans especially with the tour costing $431.40 for the four of us.

On a positive note, we thought your tour driver, Kim, did a great job. Visiting the USS Missouri was outstanding and the Park Service exhibit areas were very informative.

Pearl Harbor was amazing. The tours of the Arizona Memorial and of the U.S,S. Missouri were most impressive. And sobering. Our guide, Chelsie, was very good — very informative, very helpful, very gregarious.

But the tour itself is way too short. It is advertised as being 7 hours. But the time at Pearl Harbor is not even five hours (9 to 1:45). We opted not to take the trolley back at 1:45, but to spend the rest of the afternoon to have adequate time on the Missouri, to visit the air museum (which is not included in the tour), to see others of the exhibits, and to get as full an experience of Pearl Harbor as possible. And we still didn’t have enough time. Getting there at 9, when the park opens, ferrying to the Arizona Memorial at 10:15 and back, shuttling to the Missouri at 11:10 or so, and having to return and be back at the trolley at 1:45 just doesn’t give enough opportunity. And if you want to see the exhibits, eat lunch and visit the gift shop, there simply isn’t time. We recommend against renting the self-guided tour headsets when you first arrive. You’ll have no time to take the tour.

If you simply want to visit Pearl Harbor and hit the highlights, this is a good tour. If you want more, you’ll need to look elsewhere.

Aside from the fact we were pretty late being picked up, which was fine but made the day feel more rushed, we had other concerns with this tour. It felt a bit like a rip off because it is advertised that the USS Arizona tour is guaranteed however they weren’t able to secure tickets. We knew this was a risk because I called and asked the week prior. At that time, I asked if I could get my own tickets as they go up for grabs at 3pm the day prior. I was told if I did that, I would have to cancel my whole tour with E’Noa. I opted not to do this because we wanted the rest of the experience, but now I wish I had. They sent out a text the night before informing us they were unable to secure tickets, and said our guide would ensure we got to experience the Arizona and would be able to stand in the stand-by line. They warned us this line could take 1-3 hours; however, by the time they got us there, we barely even had enough time to wait in that line. We did wait in the line which took about an hour and got out to the USS Arizona (so so thankful as this was of utmost importance to my veteran boyfriend), but by the time we got back to the museums, there was no time to go through them because the bus was leaving. Had I gotten my own tickets, we could’ve gone right through and then still had time for the museums. Other people on our tour actually did that. We also felt like we didn’t have enough time at the USS Missouri, we felt rushed and didn’t get to go through everything as much as we would’ve liked either. For $107 pp, it seems steep when the USS Arizona and Pearl Harbor museums are free and you can get a shuttle over to the Missouri every 15-20 min.

Our guide RJ was fantastic though and we realize none of this was his fault. He was funny, knowledgeable, and did a fantastic job of touring us around and making sure we saw all the best parts of the city and shared much information and even his own personal experiences. We give him 5 stars as a tour guide!!

We were notified by our shuttle driver, Finny when he showed up that the USS Arizona was closed. He was honest and told us that if we wanted a refund we couldn't board the shuttle. He told us that if we went, it would cost extra to do anything like to tour the aviation museum or the Missouri, but that there would be some free things to do. We decided to go anyway because seeing pearl harbor was basically the only reason why Oahu was on our itinerary (we're spending most of our vacation on Maui). It was a total bust. Terrible long lines meant that we spent 75% of our time there standing in a line. I do appreciate Finny's transparency and we enjoyed his commentary on the shuttle ride there and back, but the overall experience was not enjoyable at all. I do understand that it was all outside the hands of the shuttle company but it still feels disingenuous to give it a high rating. If I could rate Finny separately I would give him 5 stars.

Not a pleasant experience, the Arizona Memorial had been closed for over a month for dock repairs but they were still selling the tour. We were dragged around the city on a open air bus for 1 1/2 hours with a driver talking the entire time under the road noice. When we arrived he told us the memorial was closed but we could walk around and might get on a trial run to the memorial but we would not have time to complete and make the bus. This was at 11:30 and bus left at 2. Sat on benches till 2. At 1 o’clock I noticed water taxis to memorial. Ask park ranger, he advised they were notified at 11:30 that repairs were opened up again at 12:00. If tour guide had done his job he would have told us to go to memorial first. Instead we paid for a tour that we never got to take. What a rip off.

Dear Mcintyrerose, We apologize that you had this experience and we completely understand your frustrations. The dock has been closed since September 3rd (not over a month). Had we known in advance that the repairs would have been finished and the dock would reopen that day, we would definitely have prepared. Unfortunately, the National Park Service did not officially notify us until 4:53pm on September 20th. Their news release dated September 20th (the day of reopening) can be found here: https://www.nps.gov/perl/learn/news/shoreside-dock-phase-one-repairs-complete.htm The NPS will not issue refunds for the 15-minutes you are given on the Memorial due to the fact that you are still able to take advantage of the museums, exhibits, outdoor monuments and view their film on the Pearl Harbor attack, where most of your time is spent. We are saddened that you did not take advantage of this. We hope you are able to return again in the future and board the Memorial in it's entirety. Until then, please stay well.

After paying for the Pearl Harbor Remembered tour package, we are told about the ongoing Arizona Memorial ticket debacle. Twenty four hours prior to the tour time, we are contacted and told we will be on standby for a visit to the Arizona. Essentially removing one of the two major attractions from the plan. No refund, tough luck.

Eight minutes before the designated pickup time in Waikiki, the tour operator sends a cancellation text message. No explanation, no answer on their office phone number. Stay away from this tour operator. Take an Uber or Lyft, much cheaper and easier!

I write this review standing on the curb in Waikiki with several very upset customers.

We understand the timing was not ideal, but a water main break affected all of Pearl Harbor. They would not allow entrance into the park at all. Tour operators were left to communicate with dozens of passengers very quickly. I agree there should have been a better explanation. All refunds for this day are being honored. If you have not received your refund, please contact our offices to coordinate that.

Not worth the price. Pearl Harbor & the USS Memorial are great and you absolutely should visit them…just don’t do it through this trolley tour. Save some money and go on your own as this does not add anything extra or special or worthwhile.
We were picked up on an open-air trolley with others and it was a long ride through traffic. It was a bit jerky and the tour guide was a bit confusing when we got there and not clear with directions. At the end of the tour we waited15-20 extra minutes for the people in our group who couldn’t pay attention to time and be back on time. I’m definitely a little upset how much we paid for this activity.

Dear brittneyh772, Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We are disheartened and sorry this happened to you. We strive to provide the best guest experiences and wish we were able to control the traffic, always provide smooth rides with people that were on time, but this isn't always the case. We are happy that you enjoyed Pearl Harbor. All the best to you.

The USS Arizona dock is closed..but the tour company didnt disclose that before purchasing. They wont refund the trip cost because in their mind, that is a small 15 minute excursion of the tour. The museum of Arizona is open..but you dont get to go to actual memorial and see the dedication wall. Problem is, it is the main focus I and a few other tourists chose this tour. Also..you get a much better view of the memorial at the USS Missouri part of the tour..so if all you wanted to do was see it, their was a cheaper option.

The tour guide Momi was knowledgeable, friendly, and upbeat.

Dear jamesmS8936PU, We apologize that you had this experience and we completely understand your frustrations. We were hoping that the shuttle boat dock closure would be a quick one, but the National Park Service hasn't kept us updated so we were caught off guard as well. Unfortunately, the NPS will not issue refunds to us either due to the fact that you are still able to take advantage of the museums, exhibits, outdoor monuments and view their film on the Pearl Harbor attack. We have been reaching out to all our guests in advance, but we are not always able to get in touch with everyone, hence the importance of reconfirming your tour pick-up time and location with us. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your tour guide, Momi. We appreciate you sharing this feedback and hope your overall stay in Hawaii was a good one. Please stay well.

Regardless of who your tour guide is, the visit to the memorial sites and accompanying museums are humbling. That being said, Nani Popolo is the best and made this tour one of the best excursions we ever had! We learned so much and had a great time, whenever appropriate. The day passed by quickly, but thanks to Nani’s clear (and funny) instructions we made the most of our time and had a memorable experience. I highly recommend this tour and if the “pretty brown boy” (his name’s translation) picks you up in the morning you’ll be sure to have a great trip too!
