Turnagain Arm and Alaska Wildlife Tour from Anchorage
From US$99.00
Catch sight of moose, sheep and maybe even wolves on this road trip along the Seward Highway to the Turnagain Arm. On this 3.5-hour guided tour from Anchorage, you’ll travel along a National Scenic Byway and soak up breathtaking Alaskan landscapes, and then visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. Among the rescued bears, elk and caribou you see, you might just meet one you want to adopt!
What to Expect
A National Scenic Byway, Seward Highway is one of only 15 roads in the US designated as an All-American Road. After hotel pickup in Anchorage, experience a great drive on this highway through stunning Alaskan scenery. As you travel along the Turnagain Arm, keep your eyes peeled for eagles, mountain goats, moose, whales, wolves and other wildlife.
Arrive at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, a privately owned nonprofit organization that rescues orphaned and injured animals. Get up-close to bears, elk and caribou on your educational tour of the rehabilitation center, which provides spacious enclosures and quality animal care.
Inspired by the center’s dedication to save Alaskan wildlife? Consider adopting an animal — you can help support your chosen animal for an additional cost, payable directly to the center. You’ll take home an adoption certificate, and the center’s staff will inform you of the special diets, environment and care that your animal requires. You can ask your guide for an adoption form, or inquire when making your booking for the tour.
Finish your 3.5-hour tour with a relaxing drive back on the Turnagain Arm to your Anchorage hotel.

Up close and personal!

We had a fabulous for hours on our tour. The wildlife tour was excellent. Easy to get up close to the animals. Watching the bears feeding was a highlight. Our driver/guide was friendly and provided great commentary along the way. I would recommend to others.

Breathtaking ride

The ride along Turnagain Arm may be the most spectacular of all scenic drives ever taken. We drove it twice on a recent 17 day trip to Alaska.
