Josh was an incredible guide. Very knowledgeable and very prepared to answer any random questions on the spot. Was impressed by his ability to recall information about buildings and historical events that were not even normally covered on the tour.

This review is a history nerd's dream! Josh knows so much, and it's fun for him when people ask the not-common questions and he gets to really dig in to the great stories of the French Quarter. I am so happy that your tour left such a great impression on you, and I hope you let us guide you through one of the great neighborhoods on New Orleans next time you make it down here. Thanks for taking the time to review and help our little company. Libby

Libby was amazing! Definitely recommend this tour for a relatively brief but thorough overview of the French Quarter. We were only in town a short time and this is exactly what we were looking for... a fantastic melding of historical facts with engaging stories. A must do!

Aww... Thank you so much for this perfect review of our French Quarter tour. I could walk and talk about this neighborhood that I love for 20 hours, but I try in 2 hours to help my guests really get a feeling for the spirit of New Orleans. The history is really rich, but the stories of how people reacted to the world around them really say something about why this place will always be so special and intriguing. Please come again when you have more time, and we will explore more of this extraordinary place! Libby

That was a GREAT tour! I do love talking about architecture, but I kind of keep it to a minimum on most of my tours because not everyone understands how details like windows, doors, courtyards, bricks, and roofs actually tell us so much about the people and cultures that chose them for their structures. I really relished the opportunity to deep-dive into architecture nerdishness with you! And that is what Lucky Bean is all about - keeping the groups small so we can customize. Please come look at Greek Revival and Italianate mansions in the Garden District or Arts and Crafts bungalows in Bayou St. John with me next time! Thanks for taking the time to review. Libby

The tour was essentially private due to COVID which was a plus. I loved knowledgeable our tour guide Josh was and he was even prepared with visuals to give more context! He was able to answer all questions we had and even dispel a myth we heard previously. I would definitely

Silver linings - at the current phase of COVID restrictions, ALL tours are private tours! So, we get to prove that we can indeed customize our route and content to the interests of our guests - when it's only 1 to 4 guests, we have no other choice! The selfish secret, though, is that these tiny tours make us even better guides, because when we look at the city through the eyes of another person by answering their questions and customizing their tour, it improves our future tours. So, THANK YOU for training us! Josh is so great at showing guests what they are interested in seeing, but also at revealing to them things they didn't even know they wanted to see. Please come again. Thank you so much for touring and writing a review.
