Walk past renowned music venues and recording studios in the French Quarter, and visit the favorite haunts of jazz and blues legends such as James Booker, Fats Domino, and Louis Armstrong. Hear history come to life as you listen to original recordings via a portable Bluetooth speaker along the way.

What to Expect

Make your way to the heart of New Orleans’ music scene on Frenchmen Street, and meet your guide, a industry pro with more than 20 years of music-making experience. Starting at the Louisiana Music Factory, stroll through the French Quarter’s most musical haunts. Hear how Allen Toussaint and Lee Dorsey recorded some of their best vinyl at Cosimo’s Sound studio, and pass J&M Studios, known as the home of rock ‘n’ roll. See Danny Parker’s childhood home, and stroll through Louis Armstrong Park in Treme, one of the first African-American neighborhoods in the US.

Follow in the footsteps of countless fans as you stop at legendary music venues including the Royal Orleans Hotel, Place d’Armes, Preservation Jazz Hall, and Toulouse Theatre. Along the way, listen to clips from jazz, blues, and rock ’n' roll greats through a portable Bluetooth speaker and hear the stories behind the sound.

There were no children on our tour but I am sure they would be fine. You will probably be charged for each. If you contact the tour company they are very helpful answering questions
