Make your way to the heart of New Orleans’ music scene on Frenchmen Street, and meet your guide, a industry pro with more than 20 years of music-making experience. Starting at the Louisiana Music Factory, stroll through the French Quarter’s most musical haunts. Hear how Allen Toussaint and Lee Dorsey recorded some of their best vinyl at Cosimo’s Sound studio, and pass J&M Studios, known as the home of rock ‘n’ roll. See Danny Parker’s childhood home, and stroll through Louis Armstrong Park in Treme, one of the first African-American neighborhoods in the US. Follow in the footsteps of countless fans as you stop at legendary music venues including the Royal Orleans Hotel, Place d’Armes, and Preservation Jazz Hall. Along the way, listen to clips from jazz, blues, and rock ’n' roll greats through a portable Bluetooth speaker and hear the stories behind the sound.

We had a great time learning about the history or music in the city! Very nice walk around neighborhoods with other stories and wonderful jazz music mixed in! Masks worn the whole time d/t Covid restrictions. In a group of about 11 but felt safe as it was 99% outside.

You may think you know about music history in New Orleans. I did. Actually I do. Keith Able has forgotten more than I know! And not only the history of jazz but history in general. He really gives you a feeling for the zeitgeist of the times. Also I’m 65. I was really grateful

This is a must tour! Even if you are not per say into jazz. Keith was amazing. He probably knows more about the music history of New Orleans than anyone. He also talks about the history of New Orleans as well, so it's not just music. Just meeting Keith was worth the price
