The bus was on time however due to multiple pick ups we ran about 15 behind. The bus driver apologized and did all he could to keep up on schedule. I appreciate him giving a lot of information about the area of New Orleans and how the hurricanes have affected the area.

The Oak Alley Plantation house was amazing to see. Gave a good perspective on how the owners lived. They emphasized that the house would not have been built without the slaves. The wealth of the owners would not have happened without the hard work of the slaves. I felt I really got a good impression on what it took to run a plantation and why the "white gold" was so important to the economy. The one thing I didn't like about the Oak Alley Plantation was the restaurant. The staff was nice but their timing at getting out meals was not on mark. I don't think they were expecting us a large group.

As for the Swamp Boat Tour. I would do that experience again in a heart beat. Probably the best thing I did my entire trip to New Orleans. The Captain, Rocky was amazing. So knowledgeable. I never knew that I would come to appreciate the bayou and swamp has much as I did.

We had a great Gray Line tour today of Oak Alley Plantation and then the swamp tour. We really enjoyed Jim’s extensive historical knowledge and his ability to make it relevant in present time. His humor kept us laughing as he tied things together. Dwayne was a thoughtful and careful driver who got us everywhere on time while still driving safely. The tour guide for the swamp tour had wide range of interesting things to share about the swamp, the wildlife that lives there and how people interact with the swamp. It was certainly a good investment of our time here in New Orleans !!!

The swamp boat tour was amazing! That is the entire reason for the five-star review. I’d give the tour guide, Ernie, six stars if I could! I learned so much from him. It was hands-down my favorite tour of the four I’ve been on so far this week, and I’m sure it’ll still be my favorite after the two I’m taking today though I’m looking forward to them and expect to enjoy them very much. I highly recommend the swamp tour, and make sure to request Ernie as your guide!

Oak alley was ok, the guided tour was very crowded and folks in the back of the line had a hard time hearing the guide; when they commented on it he repeated a small part of what they’d missed but those of us at the front heard a lot more about the house and the occupants. The rebuilt slave quarters exhibit with information about the enslaved people was my favorite (though not part of the guided tour) and I wish I’d had more time to spend looking through that part. The bus drivers weren’t great. The one driving to Oak Alley wasn’t wearing her mask and got an attitude when another customer was surprised that the bus wasn’t following the posted mask policy for the 1.5 hour drive, suggesting they just “spread out” which wouldn’t do much good in a stuffy closed bus, and begrudgingly asked everyone to wear masks “if they had them” because “another customer was concerned.” The other driver back to NOLA from the swamp tour left three minutes before he said he would, after I’d even confirmed the time with him, joking that I didn’t want to be left behind. . .he left without me and didn’t even apologize when he returned. He seemed annoyed that he had to come back to get me when the tour guide called and insisted, though he was called back quickly, still before it was even the time he’d said he would leave.

Seeing the alligators!! Wish we could have seen snakes. Was kind of boring, except for the alligators!! The Plantation was very cool to see. Wish we could have had more time there. The tour company switched up the day for us. So we went on the swamp tour first and by the time we got to the Plantation, we were starving and it was so hot in the afternoon. We didn't have enough time to really explore the Plantation grounds. The driver was an unsafe driver. She was speeding the whole time, accelerated like an airplane, slammed on the brakes, in and out of traffic lanes, and took corners and turns way too fast. She was driving like she was in a small car, not a passenger bus!!!

We apologize for your experience with the bus driver. We are investigating the problem and will make sure that it doesn't happen again. As for the wildlife, we do not have any control over what you will and won't see, and that's the beauty of the wildlife.

The tour itself was good. Our first stop was the swamp. The guide from the Louisiana Swamp Tours was doing a nice job. It was educational and fun. The Oak Alley Plantation part was okay because every group is limited to 15-min visit in the Big House and needs to move with the guide. It was really a shame. However I respect the fact that the setting is due to the high volume of visitors during season.

Last but not the least, the bus couldn't have been worse. The roads were not perfect but the bus itself was overly bumpy compared with other cars on the road. The excessive bouncing was annoying at the end especially when we spent almost 3 hours on the bus.

We were supposed to do the plantation first but they said the schedule got messed up so we did the swamp first, which was a great experience and so much fun! The swamp tour was definitely the best part. However, the bus they take you on to get to and from the plantation/swamp was so awful. If you get car sick easily I would reconsider this tour, the bus ride made me so sick and it definitely needs some upkeep. The emergency exit window was partly broken so made an annoying noise the whole hour and a half ride, and the AC in the bus hardly works so it was terribly hot in the bus. And you feel every single bump it was lifting everyone off the seat most of the time, it kinda ruined the whole tour for us. By the time we finally got to the plantation we didn’t have much time because we got there in the afternoon, it was upsetting that the schedule wasn’t like it normally would be. We also had a family with small children in our group and it was awful, especially at the plantation. We could not hear a single word the guide was saying. This is definitely not a tour for very small kids that get bored easily.

We are sorry to hear about your experience to and from the plantation. We are glad to know that you had a great experience with the swamp tour. Our company does not own Oak Alley, we only provide the transportation portion of the tour. We do apologize about the air conditioning, but it should have been working or at least it should have been switch out for a bus that works. As for the conditions of the road, we do not have any control over thatt. I would agree that the roads could use some repair. Overall, we appreciate the feedback. Thank you.

Plantation was awesome and very informative guide. There is nothing really original left there but still super cool and a beautiful scenery. they talked a lot about the slaves experience which I really liked, because that's just history that can not be overlooked. Swap tour was freaking amazing and cool. We took the small air boat and there were literally one point in time when we were driving on the grass. It was awesome! We saw plenty of gators but for the most part no big ones. Our captain Dewey was so informative and charismatic he got off the boat and fed a gator with his bare hands it was nuts! Let us hold little bill (baby gator) and I was this close to just taking that cuteness home with me! Serious note though, if Dewey is single he can totally have my email -Cece.hunter@yahoo.com... Overall a super must do when visiting NOLA!

So to start our driver was clearly having a rough day. Gary was very talkative and not in the best way, we learned more about his life experiences which is fine but when he was teaching us things about our trip it became confusing. Stories were not connecting and the messages were all over the place. The ride was very ruff with adjusting his brace, leg “falling asleep” and the outrageous rollercoaster ride with the bus swerving and hitting every bump. When we arrived to the plantation he was very rude to one of our group members because of a question that “he already went over”. He then began heckling about the question to other guests which was very inappropriate. Darren the other driver saved the day and offered to allow us to join his bus for the rest of the trip such a blessing because he noticed the rude nature his coworker was giving off. The plantation staff was very knowledgeable and an overall very informative experience. 5 stars to captain Dewey our swamp tour specialist. He was extremely knowledgeable about gators and very personable! 10/10! We had such a wonderful trip back with Darren as he explained nearby historical sites. Talk about a ruff start turn to an overall remembered experience.

Very nice tour if you’re looking to relax and get away from the French Quarter for the day. The tour starts with a bus ride to the Swamp Boat Tour on the bayou. Our boat operator, Reggie, was extremely knowledgeable and had a great, dry sense of humor. We saw alligators and had a great time. After that, we took a long bus ride (about an hour) to the Oak Alley plantation. Two hours is a perfect amount of time if you want to get a snack, briefly walk the grounds, and then take the house tour. Very informative. I wish I caught our bus driver/tour guide’s name because he was excellent. He told us tons of interesting facts and stories about New Orleans as we drove to and from each location. I’d highly recommend this tour for a relaxing day away from the big city
