We did the combo city tour and swamp boat ride with transportation. We were very nervous about the transportation as we were being picked up by a parking lot due to checking out of our hotel the day of the tours. Luckily everything went smoothly...picked us up right on time. Both drivers were had were very nice and accommodating. The city tour was very informative and enjoyable for us adults...the 5 year old not so much which was to be expected. The 5 year old perked up with the swamp tour and has since deemed this the highlight of our trip. The boat captain, Reggie, was great. Holding a baby alligator is something I think will be talked about for years in our household.

My daughter (age 12) and I took the 3 hour city tour and small airboat swamp tour with Louisiana Tour Company yesterday (3/22) and had a blast!
Our city tour guide was David and he was great! This was our first trip to NOLA and this tour gave us a great overview of the area. So much cool information and a great way to see a lot of the city in a short amount of time. Highly recommend! The only thing I would caution is to bring motion sickness medicine if that is something that bothers you. I did have to give my daughter a dramamine from the bouncing of the bus. This had nothing to do with David's driving, just a mixture of very uneven streets and a bouncy bus!
Then we were taken down to the swamp for a small airboat tour. Captain Dewey was our guide and he was awesome! Highly recommend this tour as well! He was a great guide and very knowledgeable about the area. Ear protection is provided and I definitely recommend taking advantage, as the boats are very loud! My daughter especially loved getting to hold Little Bill!

What a great time. The city tour left us wanting more! More time to learn about the city and new places to visit. We loved the swamp tour as well. Learning about our eco system and the damage hurricanes do, is quite devastating. This was a beautiful option to give you more information about the cities history and and the area (swamp) around it. The city tour guide, David, was highly knowledgeable and personable, which made for an engaging trip around the city. The swamp tour was beautiful, and our guide, Cody, I believe, was also knowledgeable and hilarious. We were fortunate to see multiple alligators throughout the tour and learn more about these intriguing creatures.
