What to Expect
Your tour starts with pickup in New Orleans’ French Quarter. Relax on the bus ride out to the bayous, leaving the navigation and driving to someone else. Once you reach the area, board a covered boat with your guide, and take to the swampy waters. Listen as your guide informs you about the area’s history and ecology, and get the opportunity to spot alligators and other wildlife native to the bayous.  Some wildlife are more easily spotted during the warmer months of the year. Learn about the local culture, such as the origin of gumbo, and how the area’s residents work hard to guarantee the survival of the wetlands. Snap pictures of the swamps to take home, and gain a better understanding of this beautiful, often-misunderstood area. Your tour ends with a drive back to the French Quarter.

The Bayou boat tour was amazing! The swamp was beautiful! Our guide took us out to the swamp that the Princess and the frog was based on. It was gorgeous! Our guide was very informative and laid back. He fed the alligators marshmallows in order to get them to come up to our

Unfortunately I found this tour to be terrible. On the bus to the swamp, a voiceover was played of some (what I assume to be interesting) history but the noise of the bus was so loud it was impossible for anyone to hear what was being said. It was a cold wet day and not the best

So today happened to be cold ... A high of 59 for the day so we knew it would be chilly on the water. What we didn't anticipate was having to wait when we arrived at the boat dock outside in the cold for an hour & 15 minutes for the swamp tour to begin with no information or

I really enjoyed this tour. Our bus driver Alton was knowledgeable and fun which made the bus trip go quickly. We got really lucky for this time of year and was able to spot a number of alligators out sunning themselves or swimming next to the boat. The swamp really is quite
