This experience was awesome!! Would recommend to anyone visiting New Orleans/Louisiana. We saw so many gorgeous alligators, some on the banks and even a few swimming! We stayed dry the entire time so no need for waterproof shoes or even jackets, just maybe sunglasses! They provide the ear protection and you can bring your bag on the boat with you! They have beverages for purchase that are FANTASTIC (I recommend the mango and lemonade mixed together). Sugar, the albino alligator, is so beautiful; you can even pick up a keychain of her! The fact that we had transportation from and back to the quarter was perfect since we are from out of state and did not have a car! Our swamp tour guide AND our bus driver (Alton) were both so incredibly nice and helpful! If you’re going, you should definitely bring cash for a tip!! The entire thing was worth every penny!

We had such a great time on the large airboat! 100% recommend this experience if you want to see an example of life outside of the city. Getting to see authentic Louisiana nature, wildlife, and alligators of course! We got right up close to them, it was incredible. The weather was beautiful, no mosquitos, the humidity was mild, it was just perfect. Go enjoy it!

We took the Swamp Tour Boat Ride trip on Saturday 11/12 as part of our leadership team retreat in New Orleans. It was amazing! The bus driver/guide (Kin) was a super safe driver and did a great job telling us all about New Orleans on the way to the boat ride and on the way back. The boat driver/guide was great too! The entire group had a great time. Would recommend the whole experience to any size group (we had 17!). Thanks Gray Line!

The best part of the trip was our bus trip with Alton from Gray Line tours, he had great knowledge of the area including locally owned restaurants and places to visit visit. I especially loved the way he repeated the important parts like restaurant names or building names. He was awesome ⭐️

Alligator tour was great. Lots of gators the air boat is too noisy for the operator to give any information while travelling so it is condensed to stops - if you are after lots of info go on the cruise. I liked the airboat, it was fun!

Hot tip - don’t upset the lady taking photos by telling her you don’t want one - she gets nasty, makes you wait in line while she takes photos of other people then gives you a filthy look and waves you through 😂 this was our only negative experience of the tour, everyone else was friendly and helpful.

We had a group of 6 that attended the airboat experience for my sisters birthday. The bus to the attraction was nice. The driver, Alton, was very informative with New Orleans history, it made the 45 minute drive pleasant.

Unfortunately, as for the airboat. When it came to sitting, our family was not able to sit together. We were separated between 3 sections of the boat, one group was no where near the rest. It would have been nice to experience the ride sitting together, at least one in front of the other. I understand if the seating was based on weight; however, based on what we saw there should have been no reason why we couldn’t be together.

Then the airboat broke down in the middle of the swamp in the heat of May. Growing up close to the Everglades and friends and family members having airboats, I understand that this happens. This however is not an airboat from family or friends, this is a paid excursion. Our 1 and a half hour trip was an hour of us sitting in the heat. The guide couldn’t initially get ahold of anyone (which isn’t great for emergencies) and finally he was able to. The guide Cody, did his best with entertaining with the alligators.

Given the delay with us returning back to the dock and the fact that we were not able to actually enjoy what was paid for, for an airboat ride. A refund should be provided. A bottle of water would have even been nice.

Everything from start to finish of this experience was fantastic. The buses that take visitors from Decatur St. to the actual docks/marina as very clean and nice. All of the drivers are very kind and will give you a nice little tour with their own recommendations. They also play an audio for you to listen to with history of the city.
Once you arrive at the marina, you get a wristband with your boat # on it. We were #16 with T. Earl. Let me tell you, this man KNOWS the swamps and all about Louisiana. He was so welcoming to all of us on his boat and ensuring that we feel safe. He shared lots of stories and great information about the swamps and his own experiences. You can tell that he is very passionate about what he does and is very genuine. I am definitely going back when I visit again. This is a MUST see/do if you're in NOLA!

My adult children and I were able to book this tour and the last moment and we were very happy we did. We wanted the plantation and airboat tour but were only able to book the airboat ride. Our boat captain was a very cool cat and so knowledgable about the beautiful environment and all of its creatures it beholds. We loved that he was able to attract his friend the alligator with marshmallows and a sweet call out. I would highly recommend this tour on it's own. . It's a definite worth see and lovely experience.

It was a good trip. There were quit a few gators and the guide got them to come up to the boat by dangling small children over the edge of the boat!!!! Lol. Nah, He used marshmallows. They bus and the boat drivers were very knowledgeable in the area and they chosen vocations.

Eco-tourism this ain't, but it was a fun day out, and I had always wanted to ride in an airboat. The latter are really too noisy to allow for a lot of commentary, but as others have noted, Alton provided a good deal of fun info on the trip out to the swamp. We did see several gators and some interesting bird life. Profane signage posted on Trump enclaves on the trip down was a bit of a downer, as were drunken tourists on some of the other boats. Still and all, would recommend to anyone wanting to see a bit of Louisiana beyond the French Quarter.
